Morning! It is raining today and will be for the next four days. I guess it's our turn with the bad weather, and too much rain is bad for us with mudslides, etc,. Well, yesterday I was on a Maggie food hunt and today will be experimenting. So far she likes the Sophisticat brand Chopped Grill and Sophisticat Mixed Grill. This is different from the Sophisticat Supreme where they changed the label and added new ingredients. A PetsMart employee said the Supreme brand was for kittens and cats and the plain ole SophistiCat is for adults - did not know this as it's not clearly labeled! I still haven't heard back from Corporate on what they exactly changed! She also likes FF Turkey & Giblets and FF Chopped Grill, so quite a few choices she likes. She's really doing well and all P's in place except lb - later in the day! I'm off to read some condos and then fill out paper work for a Neurology appt. tomorrow to get help hopefully for the cervical spine pain which is causing pressure on a nerve root. Hope everyone is doing well and prayers and positive energy for all the kitties not doing so well today and for their Beans.

Morning! It always amazes me what is not stated on cat food labels... Kudos to you for pursuing it. Nice too that Maggie has some choices - I always feel for beans who have finicky eaters.

Good luck tomorrow Ann!!!! Have you had a nerve block before? I hear they can be effective for many weeks.

Nice AMPS especially w/ the ATrack.

I never got a response from Sophisticat when I tried to find out about some of the newer flavors. The Poached Trout Supreme looked like 0%, but I never got the as feds from them. I'm not sure of the cat vs kitten foods, some of the supreme are listed as kitten, but t shouldn't really make a difference. Just look at the calories/ounce.

isn't it great that Maggie now likes several kinds of canned food? What a change. :smile: I haven't tried Sophisticat, but might need to get some if Maggie approves. I'm always looking for food my Picky Mickey will eat. He likes FF turkey and giblets (sometimes), FF Chopped Grill, and Wellness Turkey & Salmon. Sometimes he'll eat Friskies turkey. That's it. Still, that's a lot more than he used to like.

Hi Karrie, Thanks. I've never had a nerve block in the neck area, but in the past had the steroid shots in the back and shoulder area.

Hi Ann & Tess, I'm beginning to see that it is difficult getting information on the Sophisticat brand. I think I'm leaning more towards getting her to eat FF.

Hi Libby, let's see if Mickey will eat the Sophisticat. It can only be found at PetsMart. Maggie seems to also like the FF turkey & giblets and also the FF chopped grill. I've been trying one can at a time. I always thought cats just liked one food and no deviation, but not true, at least not with our sugar kitties.

Maggie had a good day; I hope she doesn't drop as she's been having some flat cycles. She's been hungry today and eating mini meals. Tomorrow morning after 9 am I won't be around to monitor...I'll cross that bridge tomorrow. I'm getting ahead of myself. She seems to be favoring the FF Chopped Grill

Maggie continues to look wonderful! So many greens! Glad you are having success on finding a variety of foods she'll eat! I'm taking notes! LOL

Great numbers for Maggie today. I hope your neuro appt goes well.

To answer your question, I have a yoga therapy coach and she taught me meditation with chanting. I love it.....the vibration is good for your body. I start out with deep belly breathing and progress to chanting. So relaxing!!! I wonder if yoga would help your spine??? It is amazing for spine flexibility. Pls let us know how it goes tomorrow.
