Hello Friends,
I can report some better news...... finally. @-)

my dh spent the last two Fridays having lunch with dd. He planted some seeds to help her realize the damage/hurt and get us on a path to healing.
She was wanting to wait to start this path after they got moved /married/settled.
He pushed her to start now instead so last night she and fiancé came over for dinner and we talked a little.... no hurtful subjects.
Just trying to rebuild in baby steps....

It went well.....
now they want us to help them to move...and come see their new apartment.....
I'm allowed to call or text but I'm afraid ....
I don't want to overwhelm her or upset her so I've got to be careful.
We might have dinner again tomorrow night with my DGM ( check her out of the rehab)
So slowly.... here we go.

Shadow is good , I think. I don't know if she's upset about me being gone more or if she's just bored with her foods.... she's not eating as well lately.

Rhiannon, excellent progress ... baby steps. I am looking forward to the progress you will make this year. Praying for peace and restoration for the family.

I'm so glad to hear that your relationship with your DD is improving, albeit very slowly, which is probably better than rushing into it.

(((Rhiannon))) - Progress is good. Baby steps lead to bigger steps. I'm glad DGM is coming out of rehab.
