Yesterday's thread

She's doing a pretty good bounce this morning, which isn't entirely unexpected after last night's lows and the amount of MC or HC she got to try to get her to better numbers.
She definitely sniffed her LC pate this morning and was like, "the heck, ma'am, where's the good stuff from last night?" I eventually got her to eat some of her LC by trying different treat toppers. I also didn't test at +1, but did give her some 7% in the brief couple of minutes I woke up just in case she wanted to do a fast drop.
She has a vet appointment today for her Solensia shot. I'm incredibly glad it's just a shot day and not a blood draw/claw trim day that requires me to dose her with higher Gabapentin, because I am just too tired to try to figure out how to get it into her today.
I hope everyone has a good Friday (and TGIF, for realsies).

What an evening, Alicia.
I have observed the same thing and wondered about it- a good jump after LC and barely getting up after HC.
Great job managing it. Hope you got some sleep!
I think the jump in the morning was because the insulin was kicking in as much, and she was closer to the end of duration for that cycle, so it didn't take much to boost her up some. And last night her body just needed all that extra carb to maybe stay almost flat at a lowish number. And who knows what was different about the morning vs. evening, just gotta keep on your toes (which I know you know, Mikan has certainly been up to some antics this week.)
I have a meeting at 9 about a projector I don't want to install and think someone else should, and then nothing totally scheduled until her vet visit at 12:15, so maybe a nap between working on stuff for work? A girl can hope.

Wow, Alicia. That was quite a cycle last night. Kit cat really worked for that reduction. Thank goodness you were home!! Good kitty. :cat:
I hope you got some sleep. :blackeye:Wishing you an easier Friday. Safe surfing on your reduced side Miss Kit :bighug::bighug::bighug:
She was definitely doing a thing last night. While I hate the bounce she's in currently, I also love it because maybe I can give her ear a break this morning.

Not sure if she went down into blues during the first cycle - she got big mad when we weighed her during her vet appointment (gotta work on reducing her fluffiness a bit), and hid under the bed. She wouldn't come out before I had to go into work. So it seems like a slow but steady trend downward? Not a terrible PMPS considering her bounce this morning.

Go for it. You so earned one.
Hope Kit cat cruises down a bit and stay down in the dark green!
TGIF anyway. The girls gave us a run for our money this week!
No nap was taken. A new mess of paperwork to be taken care of was given, and the deadline is Monday, so I guess I'll work over the weekend (I also need to create a sound document for our next show and prep for my Tuesday class). Is it summer yet?

You know, we are not supposed to ask a lady about her age or weight!
She probably thought the vet office was incredibly uncivil. :p
I mean, legit, especially since I gasped a little when I saw she had gained weight.:joyful::joyful:

Isn't Monday a holiday? Bummer you have to do it.
I can tell that you enjoy your work, but still! We need to have a do-nothing day once in awhile!
My college doesn't give off for President's day. And we have to get the revisions for the new major done by Monday, so the curriculum oversight committee can approve it to go to the next faculty meeting, so it can go to the next disciplinary groups meeting, so it can go to the next Senate meeting. If we miss it, we can't have the new major listed as classes for registration for the fall. There's a work around, but we really want to have it up and running in the fall. And we've been told it's a really good package of information, there's just some revisions that have to happen. I can maybe push off the sound stuff for the show, and possibly prep on Monday for class, but I also need to draft the new space we'll be in.:rolleyes:
I may take a day off midweek to just be at home? And Eric has to leave town for a work thing Wednesday through Friday, so I could have some time to myself allllll day and night. Which can be nice sometimes.

especially since I gasped a little when I saw she had gained weight.
Oh NO!
Kitcat: How dare you!

So many steps of meetings o_Oo_Oo_O A lot of pencils to be pushed :p

I could have some time to myself allllll day and night.
Nice. A room of one's own style! ;) My DH will be away next week as well - I'll miss him but it will be relaxing as well. :p
A woman needs her time and space of her own, you know.
