Evening LL group! I got an update on Sabrina's ss for the last 2 weeks...hopefully this will spread some light on her recent dka episode. will have to fill in the blanks for the last 2 months & when I added 30 lines, color code didn't come up.....technical error!!! omg!!!!!!!!!! Looking back, yes Sabrina had elavated WBC( have to enter current labs) but in December she had an ear infection...doctor prescribed Zymox Otic 2-3 drops 1x day for 2 wks then 2 xs weekly...........not a steroid but contains dextrose, glucose oxidase, glycerin plus other ingredients, would this cause elevated bg, something I missed.???? I'm holding at hvy .5u but thinking after 7 day cycle bump up to .75U.???? ketones yesterday were 1.4 & today down to .9.....slow but sure....experienced eyes appreciated! Cindy & Sabrina

The standard Zymox usually does have hydrocortizone in it, which is a steroid. There is one that can be ordered without the steroid, but its not usually the standard one prescribed.

Good to see the ketones coming down. I don't know Sabrina's history well so I can't really suggest much on dose other than to say it looks from the numbers like she needs more insulin.
