Good Morning, Everyone,

Thank you all for visiting us on Valentines' Day. It's a special day for us and you made it even more special.

Rusty is starting out almost green and hopefully will have a nice green surf today. I'm going on a snowshoe hike, but Edward will be here to feed and "observe", to play Rusty's games, and to do the daily brushing. We had a good test, shot, breakfast (By Nature Turkey and Turkey Liver), and now a chillax on the little bed next to the radiator.

It's snowing at the moment, but the temperature is almost up to freezing and the snow may turn to rain. Nevertheless, we are going snowshoeing--a 7-mile loop to a pond. I got an abrasion on my ankle the other day and will wear a different pair of boots today to keep it from hurting too much. The rest of the week looks awful, weather-wise (rain), so it's important to get out today!

Everyone have a good day. Sending healing vines and strength to all kitties in need of them,

Ella & Rusty

Beautiful AMPS today Rusty! Guys day at home. Sounds like they will have a great time. Have a wonderful hike and take it easy on that ankle. Have a great day Ella!

Re: 2/15 Rusty AMPS 106

Morning everyone! nice start Rusty - no doubt you will soon be green.

Enjoy the snowshoe hike! I'd go too, especially if the weather for the rest of the week says rain. Bummer on the abrasion - hope the different boots today will help. Your hike route sounds nice! Enjoy!

Hi guys .. so close I can see green peeking through .. Hope you have a nice time on your hike today, and hopefully your ankle does not bother you to much .. if it was me, I'd use that as an excuse not to go ..  have a great day!

Re: 2/15 Rusty AMPS 106

Sir Rusty! How bootiful you look this morning! You and KT are playin' together on that floor - would you please go put a tether on him so he'll STAY there?

Ella - enjoy your hike! I agree with Devon, I'd have to use that ankle as an excuse to stay inside....

BIG HUG!!!

Hi again,
Thanks for visiting "the boys" while I was out having fun. All was well here when I got home this afternoon. After testing Rusty (at +9) and giving him his afternoon snack, we had a great 45 minutes of play with the tinsel wand, the cube, the sack, the box, his perch, and my sandals. We took a brief nap on the couch before dinner (I was tired, and I had just drunk a beer, which put me out!).

It was a strenuous hike with lots of climbs and walking along planks over wetlands (still unfrozen because of the warn winter). We were 3 women. Fortunately I wore my usual boots because I wasn't used to snowshoeing in the other pair (I had put a blister pad on my ankle beforehand and it was perfect). We did a 7.3-mile loop and had our lunch at Deer Pond next to a fantastic rock formation (see pic). The trail is supposedly a ski trail, but I can't imagine trying to ski most of it in the conditions we had today. My friend, who is an expert skier, said it would be hard in any conditions!

Off to visit as many condos as I can tonight. Below are 2 pics from the hike.

You deserved that beer after that 7.3 mile hike! :-D I fall asleep after one drink and that is without a hike! I am in awe of your hike and it was cold, too! Gorgeous wintry pics, too! Rusty is doing amazing! Have a good night.
