For today I proudly offer Mannie's special 10 hour energy coffee, AND triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. and for my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls......... PRIMO! Only the best for all my customers....... OOOOOOOOOO! OH! Tea infusions too, by request. They is primo too! I SWEAR! Today: vanilla orange zest!

Yesterday was a momentous day in MannieLand: no reds! (well, this morning however.... blech!) Over all there is improvement for Mannie. The severity of the bounces are less, which is really nice to see. The numbers still aren't the best, but he does seem to be settling. I do believe that he could use a drop more juice and will consider doing that over the weekend when I have time to be with him. He had a good day yesterday, seemed to be moving around well. I'm not sure it that is due to the potassium supplement finally doing its thing, or if it is the cabalamin injection that he received Wednesday night. We will see how things go for the next couple of days. I still have not heard from his IM vet on the BW test they ran for Aldosterone. I would also like to talk to her in regards as to where do we go from here, and is Mannie doing what he should be doing as far as the Potassium goes. We also need to discuss the reintroduction of his BP meds, which was supposed to start in about 10 days. anyways.... Haven't heard a peep from her, guess I need to call... in the meantime: We hope for a good day today, more blues would be so cool! Mannie - here's to you, some very strong feel better vines. All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D :-D Appy was good, CPC yesterday and this morning, LB is normal, Ketones test have been negative. Mannie And DGS hung out together fora bit yesterday, pets were given, purrs given in return. Mannie met me at the top of the stairs when I got home yesterday. He got scritches, I got squinty eyes. :cool: Last night at pmps testing he was purring rather loudly. One could hear him in the other room. :lol: and! I got the fuds dance! It was a short one, but he sure did try. :-D :cool: Test was good this morning, as was the shoot. Appy was good: he ate well, after I found the one he wanted - darn picky eaters! All in all he seems to be doing well. He does his thing, visits his haunts, is responsive, seems content. It is however, not as it used to be, the pancreatitis really took its toll on him. I need to keep reminding myself that he's an old guy, and even old guys are entitled to follow the path of a different drummer, and be as slow as they want to be. This may be as good as it gets for him now. He's content with it, and that is fine by me. So..... on that note: Normalcy in MannieLand ... 100%!

Have a great day everyone! I back on DGS duty for the rest of the week. Today will be a swim day for Nicholas. We hope to be able to get in some outdoor time too, after he naps.... I hope to visit condos when time permits, it is so tough to do while he is here. I will miss you guys! Think blue, think green kitties!

Remember the BIG HUGE cheese vats... mums the word on who went swimming in the vats... I dunno! And after that we could go to the ice cream place next door! Maybe after that we can hang out in the treehouse and chillax and stuff, grill some fuds, sip a few niptinis....What do ya think? You guys in? Let me know, I am ready for anything!~~ Mannie

100% - woohoo! Yes, I always had to remind myself that, as a 17.5 year old kitty, Mario was entitled and earned the right to being a little slow or a little off at times. It's hard to remember that kitties do age the same way we beans do, and not every day is absolutely perfect, usually for no particular reason at all.

Good luck with tracking down the IM vetty, and with the dosecrease. I agree...I think he needs some more juice, but I know with all the stuff you've had to manage with him lately, you need to be cautious about going slow with changes.

Morning Melissa ~O) ~O) ~O) Yesterday was good, today a rough start - I hate reds..oh well, he will come down from there soon enough. I know ( :roll: )on the P'titus. such along haul this has been. But yes, he is slowly getting back to normalcy. :-D

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O) I had to give him that 100%. There are a few issues still, but they may be there all the time going forward. Mannie is 16.5 yrs old - he's entitled to move the way he does. and yes - so agreed: we tend to forget that they do age and react just like we humans do. I so agree with what you wrote. THX too on your thoughts on the increase. That is exactly why I have held off. he's settled some, so maybe I can go forward. Agreed too on the IM vetty. We need to talk....

You got a 100! Wow! We are so impressed - you are doing so good. Now if only you can come and stay in the lagoon - you will feel so much better - plus the parties in the lagoon are da bomb!

Mmmmm cheese. If memory serves, someone pushed me into the cheddar vat and I smelled like cheese for a whole week. And it took even longer to clean my fur! I would like to fall into the gouda this time - OK ;-) I think I like that better than cheddar!

Now fix your beegees and let's party - ooooh and it's a beauty of a day today - all sunny and nice......

I also, like you, have to remind myself that Mags is getting older and not as energetic as she was not that long ago. I hope you hear from your Vet so as you can see where Mannie is going on his meds. Is the Picasso a new photo shop. Thanks on the links and looking forward to seeing DGS. I saw a couple photos of him really enjoying the French fries, my favorite, too!

Hi Michelle, Lovely pics of Nicholas at the creek. My goodness, you really are a shutterbug. Isn't digital wonderful? I'm going to try to get some of my pics on Picassa. I have the account, but so far have only 2 short videos of Rusty on it (posted them over a year ago).

Now I'm pondering the meaning of the hairy cheese. :lol:
I tried to decipher the mystery by reading the posts again but then decided it may be that this hairy cheese thing is classified and one must be on the "Need to Know" list. :cool: :lol: :lol: :lol:

The picassa thing is associated wit Google. I thought it would be better for all as anyone can view it, not so with FB. I had to give it too him,as he really is doing all the things he would do, I as a bean need to accept that fact that age is rearing it's ugly head, and he was darn sick, so all in all - he's really doing well. I too think that the added drop will really help him. I just had to be cautious and careful. Sometimes fuds can still be an issue... I will always love that pic of the cheese vat, kitty included. One of those stories that will go down in Mannie lore... :lol:

Hi CD - thanks for the visit!! And thank you for all you said. I do try, and he just does not make any of it easy, he never has played by the rules.... ;-) And yes,w e are at the vet every week, just for the cabalamin injections, something that I need to address with the IM vetty, as the series is due to end soon, and what to do, as I think they help him. oh HAHA on the hairy cheese - Ann explains that. THX on today - we did have fun at the pool. Mannie seems to think red is his color today. So we hope he will reconsider as the night goes on. :-D

Hi Barb - well thanks - but I have my moments too. the high stuff is very hard, especially after a day of blues. He never used to bounce this bad, now we are. Hard to deal with, let alone understand. He is doing well. We still have a few issues with muscle control, something to address when I can get a hold of his IM vet. I wish I knew how long it took for the potassium thing to work it's magic. and a for sure on the fuds thing - drives me NUTS(!), as he never used to be this way. Today was four cans... at least he eats when I find the right one. ;-)

It is hard for us to see our kitties getting older. We have to remember they'll be a little slower, but they can still be feeling good. The next step is for Mannie to get back to blues and greens. Hopefully tomorrow will bring better numbers.

I hope Mannie will gain his old strength. It is hard as they get older. Some days are better than others...just like us :lol: :lol: you are a rest mom and staying on top of his medical issues.

Hi Marje - me too. There are good days, an there are so so days. Tonight has been a so so day. Hope tomorrow will be a good one. and yes - just like us. so true! and we do try to stay on top of it. Hard to know what to do, all we need now is for him to take it all on. That alone is slow going, by nature of the beast. ;-)
