Well China? What gives? You nosedive last night, and I guess today you're bouncing? You're being difficult (as in, I guess you're a cat, huh?)...LOL

I sure wish I knew why she does so great for days at a time, and then bounces all over the place.

I'm just going to throw this idea out there since I have lots of time to think about it...any chance she might do better with Levemir? I might spend a little time over on the Levemir forum and do some reading, although there's no way I could afford to switch right now anyway.

Other than her crazy numbers, she's being her usual sweet little self, and that makes me very happy! She's been spending more time laying with me lately and I enjoy every minute...although I still feel awful when I have to move and she gets all huffy about it...LOL

Hope you're all having a nice Caturday and that for those of you along the East coast, you're lives are returning to somewhat normal after the big storm!!

Hi Chris:

No answers from me, but I just thought I'd stop by and say happy Caturday! Love having COL, but then when you have to move, it's just awful - especially when they give you that look. :sad:

Does China think you need to go out today? Maybe for some fuds or treats? She's giving you good shopping numbers ;-) . I hope she brings that +6 in a nice slide to PMPS.

Good luck with the Lev research, I'm sure someone can help you with that on here :razz: . I'm glad you're getting some cuddles, even if moving annoys her :lol: . Happy Caturday, Chris!

Well it's been an interesting day for China! Been kind of all over the place, but we're finally back in the green!!

Had a busy day of cleaning (Yuck) and shopping and a quick visit with DM. We're discussing the possibility of maybe checking into some senior apartments for her so she'll have a little more space, a little more autonomy and a little more independence. Not sure how I feel about it yet (as you can probably tell). While she's doing much better than she has in a long time, especially with her heart, and her confusion has cleared a LOT since she was started on the Namenda, I worry that she'll just sit there and watch TV and vegetate.

I can go and fill a pill box for her meds, help her with shopping and such, but unless she's able to get out (including driving for herself), I think she'd just sit there. At least at the Assisted Living center, she has activities to go to, people to visit with, and everything is done for her. Of course she wishes she could do some occasional cooking as well as having more "living space" (instead of just a bedroom) and in some ways, that would make her happier, but I still just don't know what's best. I hate being in this position.

I guess we'll go look into it though...maybe she can have her kitty back with her for some company if we go that route.

China seems to be on a mission tonight. Hope she surfs so you can get some sleep.

I know how stressful this situation with your DM must be. You want them to be active and happy, but you also want them to be safe. Is this the revenge of the parents - letting us know what they went through when we were growing up?

Sending good vines to help with the decisions you will be making, and for China's next test.... :-D

So far, so good! I'll probably set my alarm for 2 or 3am (+8 or +9) just to make sure she's done dropping.

I hear you on the revenge of the parents. I know I worried my mom crazy as a teenager, so I guess this is her payback!
