Bella’s been hanging in yellows today.
Not very interested in eating this afternoon..
Persuaded her with turkey fancy feast mixed with my ( emergency) routisserie chicken pieces.
Perhaps her food/ fuel requirements have dropped with the slightly lower blood glucose levels?
I hope that all it is.
She used to be less than interested in eating in the past when her levels dropped..has been doing better on insulin.
She seems ok otherwise. Enjoying watching the birds with our windows open.. unseasonably warm at 72 degrees in February.

Bella was retching without vomiting about 5 pm this evening. I had decreased her cerenia to 1/4 pill for the last two days. ended up giving her 1/2 this evening. ( I got my home visit vet to give me another prescription.. thank goodness)
Seems better. PMPS was 280 and she ate very well.
What is with the nausea? Is this a feline diabetic thing?
She’s prone to Hairballs... but this seems different.
Pancreatitis?
I was told her blood levels did not show signs of pancreatitis. Can you have active pancreatitis without correlating blood work?
Urine ketones negative .. I checked again just to be sure.

Once they start getting into better numbers, their bodies process food better and they don't need to eat as much. You may want to change your subject line to pancreatitis ? to get some input.

Bella’s lipase numbers were considered “normal” via her vets lab interpretations.. they are high in the feline diabetes parameters..
Does this mean I’m dealing with pancreatitis?
What are treatments? How can I convince my vet so I can get her the treatment that she needs?
I already had to pull teeth/ jump through hoops through another vet to get cerenia prescribed for nausea.
( not considered a long term medication for nausea)
Where Can I post to get information?

Thanks
