Meh. I think the last reducie and the 37 the other day was a crazy weird fluke and she needs more juice, but I'm still feeling a bit too under the weather to go for it, especially since these numbers aren't horrible. Maybe by tomorrow I'll be more up for it.
DH is out cleaning up yet another round of snow (it fell overnight, after we had sideways torrential rain and thunder last evening, after we had a foot of snow during the day....), but the sun is finally out. I do appreciate everyone's efforts at trying to make me feel better about it and encouraging me to enjoy it. Unfortunately, that ship has sailed. For us, snow is too much of a hardship. I lose so much money because we can't open the store when these storms move through, plus we lose business before (people are prepping) and after (people are recovering), so as a retail business owner in an already-tough economy, I shudder every time a storm is in the forecast. On top of that, DH has a bad back, and all this snow removal - even with a heavy-duty snow blower - is starting to take a very serious toll on him. Sadly, there really is just no way we can enjoy this stuff. We do have plans to eventually migrate someplace with a climate more to our liking someday (toying with Hawaii, Southern CA, and Key West...IMO, Southern CA is winning), but for now, our aging parents live here, so we are staying put indefinitely.
I am thankful being able to vent about the storms...otherwise I'd go all "The Shining" about each one! What I really need is heavy duty LL prayers that it doesn't snow here again (ever, if that's possible!), and that it snows tons for all the folks who really love the stuff!
I'm working from home today, thanks to this cold and modern technology. Have a great day, LL!
