Happy Valentines' Day to all Kitties and Beans!

Good morning everyone! We are having a thaw, 30 degrees to start the day with strong winds and rapidly rising temps; rain/snow predicted for later, and temps falling to -5 F. tonight. Not a great day to do outdoor activities! Rusty had a good night: at one point he woke me with strong head presses into my face (he is really strong!). All the nighttime food was consumed, as was breakfast (1st and 2nd sitting). Rusty and I have had some good games with Red Ears and his new string. He's starting off the day with a good number, and I hope that the effects of that fur shot are now history.
Big birthday party today for Shadow & Raja and Chaos. Pat is getting ready for hoards of kitties to arrive. Rusty will be on the Kitchen Krew and is looking forward to learning how to make that cinnamon birthday cake (the one that Stu and Mannie perfected last spring). Birthday party + Valentines' Day--what could be more fun?

OT: Today is also special for my DH and me: the 42nd anniversary of our engagement. We'll open a bottle of good wine tonight!

Glad everyone is doing well -- hope the town doesn't turn into a big skating rink overnight between the big thaw followed by -5F

Aw, happy Engagement Anniversary! 42 years, congratulations! I wish I'd been smart enough to separate my engagement and wedding dates so I could have two anniveraries :razz: but we married a year and one day after we got engaged, which was also our 'dating' anniversary, oh well. :lol: DH can remember it, that's all I ask.

Lovely AMPS for Rusty today- I'm glad he is in good humor and ready to party!


omg, cinnamon cake? that sounds oooooh so good! I bet Mannie can fit all our names on there if he tries. Tell him to ask my bean how it's done, she's always messing with cakes and stuff.. me, I just want to play! Can't wait to see all my friends and have some birthday cake!

Rusty! I am on my way - ready to learn to bake that cake? It is so fun - I remember what fun Stu and I had making it, trying different things until it was perfect. Raja helped, and well Shadow?: he was so busy playing with the flour. He said he wanted to look like Spot to see what it was like. There was flour everywhere! Hi again, I don't quite know how to interpret the 124 at +5.5!! And now the 138 at +8. No rhyme nor reason! I know it wasn't a fur shot this morning. Rusty was very vocal this morning. All Ps are in place, some lunch has been eaten, and he's sleeping on the radiator, waiting for Mannie to pick him up and take him to the party. I hope that the cinnamon birthday cake is a success!!

Maverick had a day where he rose steadily from AM shot time also. I was told... he is a cat.

It is strange when they go up & not down.. Baby's AM & PM shot were lower than her +6 for today's cycle..

Leftover tuna casserole and a really nice wine (2001 BV Rutherford, Napa). Great dinner. I didn't have to cook!!

I've decided that Rusty's pretty flat blue today is a "bounce" from last night.

Go Rusty! bummer on the bounce - better on the pmps, and hoping for greens tonight!

tuna casserole - i used to love that stuff... my kids revolted and refused to eat it... what's wrong with tuna casserole? good stuff!
