Good morning!!! Special thoughts and healing vines to those who need them. Remembering Barb and her DH's sweet Cindy today who crossed the Bridge four years ago.

Gracie has all 5Ps in place today and is laying on her back in the doorway to the office giving me her adorable Gracie face "play wif me" look. :-D She decided to take a little bounce last night but she's looking great this morning. She slept wrapped around her daddy's head last night....guess she thought he might be cold :lol: :lol: So far so good on this dose but it's still a little early to tell ....only 4th cycle but very happy with her numbers right now. And I will not say another word about that! ;-) :lol: :lol:

It's going to be a cloudy, possibly rainy day today so not sure what we'll do but it looks like the plans are to be at home esp since we did Valentine's Day dinner yesterday. The restaurants in Tucson are CRAZY on Valentine's Day....it's a big event here. I am going batty with my glasses.....I love the frames on my regular pair so took them to Costco to get new lenses and have been using my old ones and can't see a thing on the computer without tilting my head back. If I put in my contacts, I can't test Gracie because they are monovision so until Mike is up, I gotta wear the glasses (which I take off when I test). :lol: :lol: :lol: So complicated but if that's as difficult as it gets, I am one happy bean!

And our parting wish for you all today is much love, joy, happiness, and lots of green.

Ah the glasses vs contacts dilemna. DH keeps telling me I need to buy some "cheaters" and I do not think I do. :lol: :lol: He says I am in denial and I think he might be right. Sounds like a nice "stay-at-home-and-snuggle-day" there for Valentine's day. Hope you all have a wonderful day full of laughter, love, and chocolate!

Gracie does look fabulous at this dose. Do you think we could get her to give bounce clearing lessons? Have a happy, cuddle filled Valentine's.

Hi Marje, and Happy Valentine's Day! What a great cycle of greens, and you haven't even hit the onset, right of Lev. I know Mags has hers at +5 lately! I have two pair of glasses, one for my computer and then I had to give in and get the other pair for long distance and then the close up thing. I don't like to admit I have a pair. I wish I could wear contacts. Have a wonderful day and hugs.

Gracie has got a beautiful surf going on today - keep it up, little lady!!

I finally caved and got prescription readers last summer. The non-prescription type don't work for me, and I've heard that people have a terrible time adjusting to progressives. The thought of contacts gives me the heebies...never even wanted to try. But yes, aging eyes are a hassle and a half!!!

Amy, I wear progressives when I don't have my contacts in. I actually love them and never had any problem with them but I loved the other frames so much that I didn't want to change frames. I also love my contacts...soft, disposable...every easy.

Ok, my Valentine baby.....surf....no crazy low numbers...you are NOT ready for any type of reduction. Just :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: please!

Gracie is looking fabulous on her new dose! :mrgreen: But I know what you mean, Daphne is a little too low I think, (anti-jinx), at some points. I've been getting up a 8:30 AM since her reduction @+2 so I'm there a little after the Lantus kicks in, and I still am not wanting to go btb, I don't trust the #'s yet. I've been holding her food bowl to get her to eat more too, not much of an appetite in the AM…

Marjorie, thank you for your kind words for our Cindy cat going to the rainbow bridge. Its such a tuff day for us, especially DH, but I got him chocolates anyway, I won't wrap in red and white paper, we were actually eating candy when she came to us 4 years ago. And my DH and I are chocoholics and can't just let the day pass without them, so I go half way and not wrap :-|

Have a lovely Valentines Day, and I do hope your Max and my Cindy can celebrate it together wherever they may be, but not with Chocolate :smile:

Hey Gracie, slow down a little and don't go below 40!! What a great day of numbers this has been for you. Enjoy celebrating Valentines' Day with your wonderful beans, and tell Tobey that he's my Valentine and I'm going to bake him a big, heart-shaped cimmamum cookie.

p.s. Marje, I hope you get your glasses straightened out. I have been putting off getting my prescription filled, but it's time to bite the bullet and get it done. I know I'll see better because my glasses have gotten too strong for me. I have 2 pairs of progressives that I love (regular and sunglasses), also 2 pairs of single vision distance glasses (don't wear these as much as I used to). And several very old prescription reading glasses that I can now use for distance (sort of). The greatest thing about having been nearsighted all my life and now getting old(er) is that I can take off my glasses and see close-up things (like syringes) really well!!

Ella: Tobey said he'll be RIGHT THERE! He would have been there sooner but he's still getting lots of extra mommy love for the time I was gone. I'm the same as you about the nearsightedness. When I draw insulin or test Gracie, I don't wear glasses or contacts and see perfect close up :lol: :lol:

Ok...up to 54; now SURF baby girl!

Little girl seems to really be liking this dose....maybe a tad too much too soon. I don't think this low of a number is attributable to the sk1.25u shed. Had to give her 10% to bump her up for PMPS. Hope she will.

I'm in the brief happy decade between lasik (which corrected my SERIOUS nearsightedness that I had age 13-31) and the rest of my life when I'll need reading glasses. Here's hoping it will hold off a few more years!!! drinking24

What a cycle for Gracie yesterday & today!! She's going places!
I carry 5 pairs of glasses various reading & distance, but wear contact distance lenses as I am very Vain!!
Of course, I still have to use reading with those--
I also have pair of progressives which I had a car accident with last year, due to the side vision with them, but am adjusted now--Glasses, they could drive you CRAZY!!-Have a good night :mrgreen:

it is kinda sucky to have reached the "need reading glasses" stage of life. :roll: i don't need any correction for distance, although i wore contacts for a while when i was college-30ish. then my eyes improved and i haven't needed distance help since.

now, however, i've sunk to the point of wearing prescription reading glasses on a NECKLACE. :shock: omg i hate it. looks as stupid as anything could, but i have done absolutely everything else to try to avoid it and nothing works. i used to put them in my neckline or hooked in a pocket, but i can't tell you how many times they almost fell in the toilet or cat box when i was cleaning out the box. finally i gave up and used the stupid chain.

then i look at people over the top of them because i can't see anything far through them. really adds to the "cool" factor. ohmygod_smile

after all, it just screams old person. *sigh* what can you do?!. trying to look at the glass as half-full and say "WOO HOO I can still see!" :lol: with help, of course.

Thanks for your concerns and ideas in our condo. I may want the info on your behaviorist if things do not improve.
