Yesterday

I was a little bummed to see yellow again this morning, but at least it's not upper yellow like yesterday...phew - for that, I am relieved! I'm not totally surprised...she had such a massive drop yesterday morning that I'm sure she could be extra-bouncy for a day or so. I'm not off until tomorrow, so I can't "intervene" with her +9 snack until then. I would SO love if she'd use an autofeeder!

All is well with Trix today. NO kibble raids last night. I still can't believe I fell asleep with kibbles on the floor the other night, but as Tricia said, it was a good test...now we know Ms P can pull out the big guns if necessary! However, we do not want to test that very often...preferably never again! Today we have our happy appy, snuggles, bright eyes, and adventure-hunting. She was so cute trying to get between the blanket and the couch (the blanket was dangling over the edge of the couch..."What's back there???" Gelcap was smooth, too. We only have one, maybe two, doses of banana meds left. I do want to use the whole bottle up, but we will both be happy to see them go (although admittedly I'm also nervous...the meds have done so much for her and I hope we've run them long enough to have fully knocked out whatever bug it was that she had.).

She's scheduled for a follow-up in a week and a half...vetty wanted her to be off the ABs for at least 5 days before retesting. We'll actually be doing her full senior panel at that time, since she's due for it early-March anyway. This way we can (hopefully) save a trip. It will be very interesting to see where her kidney values are now.

She's in THE cutest belly-roasting pose right now, but my stupid phone is out of room again so I can't snap a picture...argh.

I didn't hear from my parents yesterday, nor did I try to contact them. I want them to have a breather from everything and everyone! I assume they are still having a wonderful time. Yes, @Marilyn, I am feeling pretty relaxed about them being relaxed...it makes me happy that they are enjoying themselves....it is so very deserved.

In the meantime here in Central NJ it is beyond bitter cold....low teens with fairly high winds. I wish I didn't have to step outside to go to work!

Time to get working...have a great day, L&LL!

Amy

And step outside she did! Have a great day, Amy. TGIF! Trixie is coming down nicely and Rusty expects to see her in the lagoon this morning.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella (who hasn't been outside yet except to feed the birds) & Rusty (who is chillaxin' on the radiator)

That is wonderful that your parents were able to get a break from all the stress and I don't think there is a better place for that than Hawaii.

I'm guessing kibble is causing the wonky numbers. Thankfully thst doesn't happen too often. Have a good day.

Sorry about the yellow start, but at least she brought herself down. It's great she's feeling so good. How cute on trying to get between the blanket and the couch.

Ahh, yes, Ms. P is in the house! Technically, I thought I read that cats that are OTJ don't really bounce, but I don't think it matters what you call it - as long as she comes back down!

I'm glad Miss Trixie is doing so well. Hope your Friday flies by. I believe you're off tomorrow? :)

Actually @Tricia & Cinco , a while back Jill posted in Trix's condo one of the times I was fretting about whether or not we should restart the juice, but Trix's drops had me questioning whether that was wise to do. She said she thinks Trix is bouncing and didn't need to go back on the juice at that point, despite being OTJ...not common from what we know, but most people probably don't test their OTJ kitty like I test Trix. Of course if she'd stop bouncing, I could stop testing!!!

Hooray for a terrific WCR- and easy gel-capping and almost mds are almost done--Go Trixie! Glad to hear your folks made it safely to HI- hope they have a wonderful trip! Have a great evening Amy and thanks for the encouraging words! :bighug:

Enjoy the day off! Maybe some kitty cuddle time.

Whatever Trixie's doing, bouncing or some other Trixie-trick, she's working her own juice pretty darned well. Enjoy that, too.

She makes some amazing recoveries on her BG! Way to go, Trix. I loved loved her belly warming pic the other day. So adorable!!

I'm glad your parents made it to HI and I hope they have an amazing time. They deserve it.

Stay warm.
