Yesterday. Hi back to late visits from Michelle and Tricia - yes Tricia, now we get to hope we don't get rats too. :arghh:

2/12 Recap:
AMPS 94:D +6.5 136 +9 96:D
PMPS 84:D +4 108 +9 92:D

Neko was wailing for breffs over a half hour before the alarm went off. Serves me right for moving PS time up earlier this week for a meeting. Do it once, and all of a sudden it's the new meal time. Earlier daylight doesn't help. It was a good morning for whacking.

Now that the excavator banging has started full throttle, kitties are relaxed in their beds. How I envy them!

It's my DF's birthday on Sunday, I'm heading off soon to arrange a cake. Happy Friday 13th all.

Nice start for Neko this morning. I'm glad the kitties have adjusted to all the noise. I wish it was that easy for us.

Cats can sleep through anything - except a can being opened! :joyful: They have selective hearing down to an art form.

Nice start today, Neko. Headed for the lagoon, are you? Cinco and China are there, along with Max and others. Come keep them company!

Does Mr. Excavator Man work on Saturdays, or will you have peace and quiet tomorrow morning?

I have a few roof rats - at least I assume that's what I hear cavorting around up there of an evening. Can't bring myself to poison them though it's such a nasty way to go and, especially since I had companion rats at one point so I know just how cute they can be, I just couldn't do it to them.

Neko is looking sooooooooooo good - you go girl :D:cool::D

Looking good Neko. Have a good evening Wendy. Yes our shoveling muscles are getting big. lol Thank god DH has a plow. Already had to hire a big loader to come in and move the banks back. Take Care Peg and Toby

Are you going to bake the birthday cake? Rusty would be happy to help. He bakes a mean cimmamum catmint cake.

Have a great weekend, Wendy.

It is getting ligher earlier each morning and I love it! But it does make AMPS time difficult when you have a hungry cat! :cat: The Tree Frogs are croaking too! :joyful: C'mon spring!
I had to go back to yesterday's condo to see what was up with the rats - ick! But that happen when people have ivy and other such "rat nest" type shrubs  If you are lucky, you will have an owl or hawk like I do, that usually takes care of that.

We've had mice in the compost, I don't like to hurt them but we can't have an infestation either. Nice day for Neko.
Liz

Mouse in the house. I can do that. Stays outta sight, just comes up the plumbing in the furnace closet or hot water heater closet seeking a little warmth. Keeps the cats transfixed for hours. But rats? I don't think so.

Live trap them at work. Huge no-kill philosophy for all creatures. (Yes, I also remove spiders to the great outdoors instead of acting on my instinctive impulse to do a little flamenco dancing, even some pretty toxic ones.)

Excellent day for Neko. Maybe an earlier-than-usual get-up in the key!

Have a great DF birthday weekend.

Marilyn and Polly

Back 1/2 late for PMPS. Out at a cousin's place for dinner, traffic was horrible. Both cats were in the entry way to greet us. Neko wanted out. Pouring rain, dark and I'm in a rush to get TFS going. No such luck kitten.

@ Carla, Tricia, Serryn, Peg, Ella, Ruth, Liz, Marilyn - Thanks for stopping in. We've had rodents in the attic before. Great entertainment for the cats whose heads were glued to the ceiling when they were about. A couple of years ago DH plugged all the holes. I'm hoping there aren't any new ones. Neko caught an adult rat a couple of years ago and wanted to bring it inside. Thanks goodness I had my gardening gloves on and managed to get her to release it. That was when her acro tumor was going full bore - I'm sure she would have eaten it. Ick! We've had a couple of quiet afternoons the last couple of days. I hope Mr. Escavator is running out of things to do. We'll find out tomorrow if he's working this Saturday. Would be a sweet Valentine's present to the neighbourhood if he didn't.
