Milo yesterday
I checked at +7 and he was 206
He ate at +10 some low carb food
I just checked prior to his breakfast and 30 min before shot and was surprised by our number.
We just increased to 2.75U last night.
I will be home today to test. Should I keep dose same or back Down to 2.5U.

I would keep the dose the 2.75 dose this morning, especially since you will be home to test. Since Levemir is a depot insulin, whether you shoot 2.75 or 2.50 the cycle will probably be pretty close to the same anyway.
Hopefully, you'll see a lot more healing numbers. I can't stay with you since I have to go to work, but others should be around.
The dose is up to you, as you hold the syringe, but that 162 is a nice AMPS number to start Milo's day with.
You have plenty of supplies?

You know me I would be all over the place. Based solely on my experience with Sami I would say stick with the 2.75 that you increased last night, and monitor closely.

But please wait for an expert to confirm this.

I can just tell you that when I wavered on the dose it did nothing for Sami but push her back. Stay strong. I shot 2 units this morning and Sami had a AMPS of 97, WHAT! I know I am a little nervous, but I didn't want to set her back again.

Oh, and if you are really nervous, check out Sami's thread from last night for some quick advice about what to do if Milo's numbers are dropping. We had so much fun last night! Not running on much sleep today, but there is COFFEE!

Good Luck today, I will be checking in to see how Milo is doing.

Oh, and don't forget today is Friday the 13th so just about anything can happen, and it probably will.

I figured I should stay 2.75U. I was shocked when I saw him at 162. Hopefully this is the start of good numbers. I'm happy I tested at +7 to see he did gradual drop.

Yes, this dose could be the one to get him moving back in the right direction. @Marje and Gracie suggested for me to test Sami at +2 to see if the BG had dropped lower than a 20% meter variance, and if Milo has dropped at +2 and has eaten then you might want to get more checks throughout the day. But I don't know if it is the same for Levemir, Sami is on Lantus, I know they are similar, but I keep reading that Levemir has a later nadir.

Good advice! Stick with the dose and if you're nervous, get early tests (e.g., at least a +2 if not a +1). Getting the early tests will let you steer the curve if you need to.

Good job on shooting the lower number. Remember that the dose is based on the nadir. The food can cause them to go back up pretty fast sometimes. Max often doubles his number during the last 4 hours of a cycle. Bummer on the higher +2 but it could also be a bounce from the 187. I forgot for a moment you are using lev. That could be the nadir.

Sorry to see that Milo is bouncing again, but at least you know this seems to be a good dose to get his numbers down a bit more. Sami kept bouncing too, and I was getting so frustrating and then all of a sudden she has been pretty steady. Just keep at it and Milo's liver will get with the program before too long.

Looks like Milo did a great job sliding into AMPS. Neko, like Milo, is on Levemir, and often she nadirs at preshot time, Very considerate of her, cause I'm home then. :) His rise up to +3 may not really be a bounce, but the end of the cycle. If he doesn't onset until after +3 (Neko onsets around +5), then his numbers will go up until then. Looks like he's turned it around already.

A lot of Levemir kitties cycles look more like an inverted curve or an S on it's side. A +2 test may or may not show you anything on Levemir, it depends on Milo. Marje still gets an idea of what Gracie's cycle looks like from a +2. I seldom do a +1 or a +2 unless Neko is low or dropping into preshot.

Paws crossed you'll see more blue soon on this dose.
