WOW...what a night we had last night!! I've never seen Trix drop quite like that before...usually a 164 is what I would consider to be a nice, safe, easy-to-shoot PS number - one that I would normally take advantage of and grab an extra hour of sleep. Now, once again, the game has changed!! Fortunately, she's an easy read...I could tell by her behavior that she was dropping fast (she was beyond desperate for fuds)...I expected a big drop, but I did not expect the 30s!! Out came the karo and HC, which almost instantly calmed her down. Phew. I have to admit...I was just a little bit freaked!!
DH did say she jumped a little when he did her shot...maybe he hit something, and that has something to do with the drop?? It's one of those things we'll never know. I took the reducie today, just in case...I'm not taking any chances.
She is now happily keeping my lap warm...sweet girl.
I'm off today, but we've got that massive store heading our way tonight (this time I'm not just frustrated...I'm really kinda scared - more branches and trees coming down, more potential to lose power. And, no doubt, we'll have to close the store yet again tomorrow.), and if that weren't enough, I seem to have picked up the LL cold. Ugh. I don't get sick!! I haven't had any sort of ailment at all in about 5 or so years...literally. Fortunately, it's a small cold that seems to be limited to minor congestion and sneezing, but it is annoying. I don't take decongestants because they make my heart race (long story), and I don't take Zicam because it dries out my mouth and gives me mouth ulcers...so I just have to ride it out with rest, tea, and kitty snuggles.
Have a great day, LL!
