How do you know when the glucometer stops giving accurate readings? I know they are not perfect, but I'd like them within a reasonable range of accuracy, especially with a ketone prone cat like Sid. I typically use the relion micro but a couple weeks ago I bought a relion confirm to have for a back up just in case.
Sid has been reading pretty high today (his SS is UTD for earlier today). Not super high but in the 200s to 300s which is higher than I'd like. I gave him a small dose of R at 2:30 pm and then at 4:00 I gave him 1.25 U of the Prozinc (a slight increase). At +4 he is reading at 490? That seemed high so I pulled out the confirm and tried it and it reads 375 - still higher than I'd like but a little better. Then I tested myself and on the micro I am 189 and on the confirm I am 163. Why such a big difference in the reading for Sid where with me the glucometers are closer? Any ideas?
