Good Morning, Everyone, and happy Caturday!

I managed to get Rusty's insulin in him this morning, so hopefully he will continue to refill his shed. We had a good night. Rusty ate all his nighttime food and woke me up an hour early, but just to see if I was there! He is such a sweetheart. He was sitting at the foot of the bed looking out the window when the alarm went off. Breakfast has been eaten and we had a good play with Big Bug and Red Ears.
Much milder here this morning: temp. is 22 F. already with light snow. Today is the big Winter Carnival parade and tomorrow the closing fireworks over the ice palace. After the parade our group is partying (we'll take a break from the party to go home to test, feed and give Rusty his shot. It's nice that everything here is not very far away!)
Everyone have a good Saturday. We continue to send positive thoughts and healing vines to the ailing kitties.

'Morning Ella, it's a nice day for festivities, huh? For me, the best part is the library book sale.
There is a parade, but I'm not one for standing in cold and falling snow, to watch. There is a train in town that takes folks on a scenic tour through several towns and villages. For today, it takes people from the town parking lot, a few yards up to Main street..it's too funny.

Looks like you have a great day & eve planned!!! Rusty is starting out very well & hope he will be surfing the GReen today!
It will be 40 degrees here today--Get out the bathing suits!! We will be going to Conn. to see My DB & SIL, so it will be a day out which we need so badly after all the indoor weeks! cat(2)_steam

At 22F, we northerners don't bother zipping up our coats

eta: the other day, at 12F, I didn't bother putting on my coat to drive down the street to the other office and back (~2 miles)

Hi again,
Back from the parade, which was lots of fun. The best float was from Paul Smiths College: a lumber wagon pulled by 2 draft horses from the Paul Smiths forestry school and driven by students dressed like roughneck medieval serfs. Preceding the wagon were 2 students dressed in black capes like "Death" and they were calling "give us your dead". Other "serfs" then piled "dead" bodies into the wagon. A real medieval plague scene!! Very imaginative. There were also some pitched battles between Vikings and Civil War reenactors (the latter not quite in the medieval theme, but they had their muzzle-loader rifles and the Vikings had spears and swords). Eventually a troup of British Revolutionary War soldiers joined in. It was deafening! The "Adirondack Lawn Chair Ladies" were terrific.

Rusty is still coming down at +9.5, so hopefully his shed is getting refilled.

Sorry about yesterday's fur shot... looks like Rusty is getting back to normal! Sounds like you had a wonderful afternoon... hope the rest of the weekend is great for you guys as well!
