Numbers are numbers and just hope he is still feeling pretty good after that dental. Is his appy any better than before? Hope you both have a good day and the increase starts working soon.

I can't really see a difference - having some appy issues today - normally just a teaspoon of kibble jump starts him to eating his wet food, but he can't have any for 14 days-- that may have something to do with it. I still pill him very gingerly On the bright side, he had a formed stool today I'll try to look in his mouth today

They said hard dry food could get into the (empty) pockets and bits could disrupt the sutures
They were quite emphatic about this - it was the same when he had the dental last year
I'm trying a few kernels of Waggers - a starch free semi moist food with <5% carbs.

Carol since he can't have the dry because of healing, why not try soaking it is some water and soften it. Maybe just the smell of it and the animal enzymes that the companies spray on the dry food will entice him to start eating his wet food. Worth a try.:bighug:

I hope he starts working the dosecrease soon! ...and I would second the soaking kibble in warm water. I have had good luck with that with some fosters who stubbornly refused to eat canned food after a dental.

He is eating some wet food just not very much I tried soaking the Epigen in water but he wasn't interested
the Waggers is soft enough - he can have that and has eaten some of it
Mind you - he's eating enough I think just with not much enthusiasm. I wish his #s would come down
