Good morning,
Yesterday's condo
2/11 AMPS=155 (1u); +1=160; +2=157; +9.5=185
2/11 PMPS=202 (1u); +2.5=155; +4=166; +6=182
2/12 AMPS=158 (1u); +1=140; +2=133; +3=155; +10=128
2/12 PMPS=130 (1u); +2=86; +2.5=99; +3.25=104
Lucy ate the first breakfast better this morning.
She had a very big poo early morning - little soft at the end but still shaped.
Yesterday, Lucy's holistic vet suggested I try chia seeds as fiber to improve her colon health.
She said it has omega-3 and may help with inflammation too.
I looked up on the web, and read that it's good for diabetes. (<-- "Chia is being studied as a potential natural treatment for type-2 diabetes because of its ability to slow down digestion. The gelatinous coating chia seeds develops when exposed to liquids-can also prevent blood sugar spikes." and "Chia's stabilizing effect on blood sugar also fights insulin resistance which can be tied to an increase in belly fat, according to Live Strong.").
But in the same article, I also read it contains "plenty of" phosphorus.
Since Lucy has CKD, I probably won't try chia seeds.
I'm going to look up some more about this later when I have more time, but wondering if anyone know anything about this?
This is the article I was reading....
Just the first one Google found.....
