Hey Jason! It’s been a while, I was wandering around on here and seen your posts about Kona! I hope your sweet baby feels better soon! :) if it’s not one thing it’s another lol. These cats definitely keep us on our toes!

Thank you so much, Brooke! Yes... it's always something. I think Kona is on the mend though, hopefully.

So good hearing from you, hope Truffles is doing well? Would love to hear how you both are doing, don't be a stranger! :cat::bighug:

I’m glad to hear that, but I know you are a great cat dad and I’m sure Kona will get through this, unfortunately diabetes just seems to bring some unexpected complications sometimes to our poor babies no matter what we do.

Truffles is doing very well I will say, Lantus has completely changed her life for the better and taken a lot of stress off my mind as well. She’s gained some weight back and is growing back a lot of her hair and she’s my little puff ball again! She mainly stays in the low 200’s to high 100’s most of the day. I know you guys are comfortable with your babies getting into the 100’s and below but we aren’t there just quite yet. She’s came a long way though and I see so much improvement from where she was even a month ago.

That is fantastic news, Brooke. I'm in no way an expect, but I believe the renal threshold is about 200 mg/dL, so I think if you're staying under that as much as possible that is great!
I've seen people on here talk about being in the "normal range" of anywhere from 50-100 or 75-125 is good for the pancreas and a healing process might occur, but don't quote me on that. =)

So good you switched to Lantus and you got your baby doing better. NICE WORK!!!! :bighug:
