Happy Fursday! Sending out many vines to all in need and glad to see Trixie's BG back down after the kibble raid. A girl just gotta have fun, mum!

Gracie is doing really, really well today. She's peeing and
pooing perfectly and eating has been spot on. Yesterday after we got her home, she was just focused on eating. Bless her sweet LBG heart, she really wanted to sleep but just wouldn't let herself get into a good nap. She would sit on the counter and look like she was about to nod off but she had to be near the food just in case! We were doling it out slowly and in small amounts until we knew she was going to not have any issues with it. Because I shot an hour early last night, we all went to bed early and she finally conked out. And I do mean soundly. In fact, at one point, I couldn't tell if she was breathing so I got my iPhone flashlight and checked on her. She was fine but sound asleep. Poor baby girl. Rough day yesterday......for us all. It's very funny, though, how she and Tobey both react to bupe. They are normally both very lovey and purry but they are just over the top purry and rubbing their heads all over everything with the bupe.

I think last night's numbers were almost as high as she's ever been on lev but we talked about it and decided giving her R was not a good idea. We felt it was important to get a cycle of eating normally behind her before we started trying to get the numbers back down. We also thought she needed the sleep since she was awake all day yesterday except the 75 minutes or so under anesthesia. Even though she never opens her eyes when I poke her at night, I know it has to awaken her some. I think our decision last night was a good one and I felt better about giving her a tiny bit of R this morning.

Since I was off yesterday, I'm working from home today and tomorrow. Mike is on his way to KY for our granddaughter's first birthday on Valentine's Day. While I wish it would have worked out for me to go, it was a good decision to stay and take care of our baby girl here since she had the extraction.

Once again, you all will never ever know how much your prayers and post meant to us. Thank you, @rhiannon and shadow, @Tiger and Ruth, @Sandy and Black Kitty, @Marycatmom, and @Martha for your posts last night after we went to bed. Oh..and Martha....although it is a LL classic, here is a picture of Gracie's stinkeye:

My "special look" for dat vetty wif the drugs and her helpers.

Wonderful, wonderful news! Such a long day for you....and now it s behind you and all is well. Phew and wahoo! It looks like she's coming down nicely today, too...very good! Trix was a lovechild, too, when she had bupe after her dental almost 4 years ago. Nowadays, it really throws her for a loop. I loved her buped up lovechild days, though....it was so sweet! Have a great day, guys!!

PS...always love the Stinkeye!

Marje:

Sorry, I missed the drama yesterday - had a little of my own. I'm sooooo glad that all went so well and that Gracie was her usual spunky self. LOVE the stinkeye she gave the vet and tech!

Sending lots of healing vines and I hope her numbers get back on track quickly. :bighug:

Great Pic of Gracie! Love the stinkeye.
So glad she is going so good. She will be back on track before you know it!:)

It's great to hear Gracie is doing so well today. Nice slide down. I love the stinkeye picture. Sending more prayers for her recovery.

Nice work Princess look at that almost back in the lagoon!

Hope the perfume stench is off her. In one set of flats we lived in Vyktor used to come home stinking of perfume, I never found out who he was cheating on me with but that smelly perfume - yuck!

Yeah for normal! And those BG's are almost there too.:) I hate when kitties are so still. Soul Sista's are still in sync. Last night Neko was so still curled up I had to shine the testing flashlight on her to see her breaths. Darn black fur!

Love the photo, always have. Nothing like the classics.

Love the pic! :joyful::joyful::joyful:Glad to see Missy LBG is getting back on track!! It was rather frightening to see Tiger on bupe- the vet gave her a full dose and she almost fell asleep in the LB she was so stoned! I never gave her more than a third of the syringe after that! I can just see you pointing the little flashlight at Gracie, making sure she was breathing- Helicopter Moms at their best!! :bighug::bighug::bighug: Hope Mike has a good safe trip and that you get a good night's sleep, you have had quite a week!

Goodness, LBG. That's a look! lol.

So glad to see she's recovered so well from the dental. Hope her beans have, too.

Take it easy, Marje. Been a stressful time.

Marilyn and Polly

Thanks for checking in on Missy G today Carla, Amy, Tricia, Tina, Rhiannon, Liz, Serryn, Wendy, Marilyn, and Ruth.

I'm not surprised at the different rxns to bupe. Gus never seemed any different at all. Oh yes...helicopter mom extraordinaire here :rolleyes::p

She's done really super today (anti jinx) and has been her sweet, purry self. Sleeping a little more but that's to be expected for the day after a dental.

Dinner time and then catch up with you all. I
can't wait to read Cinco's condo :nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting: or :woot::woot::woot:?

Hi Marje,
I'm so glad that Gracie is doing well today. Her numbers are coming down nicely.
Rusty sleeps soundly like that, too. I often have to watch him to see if he's breathing.
I'm sorry you couldn't go to your granddaughter's birthday, but you had other things to attend to!!
Love that pic. I'm sure the dental vets were astonished if her stinkeye yesterday was anything like that picture.

Have a good evening,

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

It's great to hear I'm not the only one who pokes at my cat to make sure she's just sleeping deeply...LOL

Some of the looks I've gotten are pretty nasty, but nothing compared to LBG's stinkeye!

Whoa! Being the target of that gaze could turn an onlooker to stone. . .
I would not want to get on her bad side. . . .

Glad all is well with HRH and that she is back in the healing numbers.

Regarding bupe, it causes BK to become very active and goofy.
He probably had 5 dentals before there were no more teeth to clean.
post dental instructions always included no jumping or rough-housing....
(yeah, right)
