2/11 Wesson OTJ Trial Day 4 AMBG=64 PMBG=78

The only part of the day that he seems to be a bit high is in the morning. I don't need to be withholding food before his normal AM testing time during the trial correct? Got up at 7AM and he was at 122, fed him and now at his normal test time at 9AM he is at 64. I assume all is ok because he is coming down just fine after food and he is pretty low the rest of the day, but wanted to check. Should I be using the 7AM before food reading as his AMBG? Should I have the auto feeder set so he gets a snack during the night to help with the higher morning number?

Yes, some people have found that their cat's BG runs higher when they've not had food. Try giving him a snack at +8 or +9 and that should bring down his AMBG.

So, should I be using the 7AM number now that I am feeding earlier and should this be a cause for concern?

Put the 7am as PM+10 and 64 as AMBG. I would not worry. Feed him 3-4 hours before the AMBG nd PMBG from today and see if that gets rid of the blues.

Just went to the vet for ***hopefully*** his last sensor. Teeth are a grade 1, so she said that is not a concern at the present moment. She is tickled at how well we have done and wishes more people would try :D

Excellent report! 10 days to go. :D

In the OTJ trial, you need to get only AMBG and PMBG (unless you get a blue then and need to test 3 hours fater food) - pokes with a meter would do.

You know me Bhooma, I like seeing what he is doing every second of the day lol! We had one sensor left, so figured we could monitor round the clock for another few weeks. Wanted an opinion on his teeth too.

You are going to have serious withdrawal in 2 weeks (fingers crossed!) :p

I guess we really lucked out that we have a vet that knows a bit about diabetes.
Yeah, I was thinking just that earlier. We have had members who vets accuse them of risking hypoglycemia when the cat drops below 150!
