I've been thinking about this bounce a bit. Does this pattern of her staying pretty high for 3+ cycles indicate that I may have been better off shooting the .5u during the initial onset then taking the reduction the next cycle?

It seemed at first like she was recovering quickly from bounces, but that could have been because she was still getting too-high doses. Maybe shooting through would have given us a better chance of staying in lower numbers after the reduction.

Edit: Nevermind, I just looked at her spreadsheet again and she dipped below 50 her first round on the .25U, it was only after that she went high for 3 cycles. Carry on!

My understanding is yes, this is still a bounce because its relatively flat. I would love to hear what others think, though.

There was some loose stool in the litter box when I got home, plus she hadn't eaten all the food I left for her (that's a first). Could the bounce be making her feel badly?

It does look like a bounce though she does look to be coming back down slowly.

Rosa does sometimes have a little digestive disturbance if her numbers are high - my vet didn't comment on it, but I think they might be related. Have you got any ketostix so you can check for ketones? She's most likely fine, but it wouldn't hurt to double check.

That works :) With 6 cats in the house, I usually have to follow Rosa around too to make sure it's her I'm testing not one of the others ;)

It could still be a bounce. Numbers tend to wobble around while they are bouncing. Bounces can take 6 cycles so I'd wait this one out. We just don't have enough data on Noodle to see how long her bounces last. But if she doesn't see green after the 6 cycles are over, I'd think about a small increase. She came down the dosing ladder so fast, with some skips in there too, so it's hard to say if the larger depot was impacting her numbers, even at .5U.

Lowest PMPS of the bounce, hopefully the insulin can do its job on this!

I put food out.. she looked at it, looked at me, and walked over to where her bag of Purebites was sitting from her PMPS test. We're gonna need a bigger bag...

You've got to love it when the threat works :D

Unfortunately because she decided to dive out of it you may find yourselves with another bounce on your hands :banghead:

+5 - 76

Fed her some LC as usual before bedtime. I'll probably set an alarm to get up and check her in an hour or so, to make sure she hasn't dropped much more.

@Vyktors Mum Hopefully she will recover faster from the next bounce now that she's responding to this dose!
