Re: 2/11 Lucian PS 288@+11.5,

I wonder if some kitties need to settle into PZI and then they get longer duration. Excluding the first couple days with Eddie when we very first started testing and realized our dose was too high, he then had some cycles where the insulin was seeming to poop out well before +12. Then he had a handful where he had a very late nadir and a 14 hour or longer cycle. These days, it seems like he's more consistently between 12 and 14, depending on whether the cycle was a steep curve or flat. The flat cycles seem to hang on a bit longer, and the steep cycles seem to be a bit shorter, interestingly enough. Eddie and Lucian must be consulting with each other. :-D

Re: 2/11 Lucian PS 288@+11.5,

I probably could have given 30 mins sooner, but I went for noon. Even if he stays at 12hrs, I'm good. Or if he goes back to 8, it's his old shot time.

I have no clue what he's doing, but I need to get control of it, there are things I have to do.

Right now, I need to get groceries and go to the bank. During one of the out-of-bed times last night, I broke my toe on a chair, so now have to hobble thru Walmart. What a PITA. :-x

Hoping he'll make it near +12 for his shot, but will test every during the last few hours.

That 110 looks nice.

OUCH! So sorry about your toe. You're doing well with Lucian. Look at these numbers. He must be feeling so much better.

Heck girl, I broke one on the other foot about 6 months ago! ohmygod_smile

So he decided on 10 hrs tonight, still better than 8 and hoping for 12 in time. :thumbup

That's a very nice nadir for Lucian! Glad he's thinking of extending his cycle and so sorry about the toe. I broke my years ago and it was just annoying more than anything else.

I stubbed my right big toe and broke it when I participated in a community theater production. Took me out of the dancing, which was fine by me as I'm not in shape for that level of effort!

So far, at 56, I've broken all but 2 and a couple more than once. My feet, toes and ankles, have been an issue all my life, starting as a young child. I was a born klutz I guess. ohmygod_smile

Or you have bone loss making yo more likely to break than bruise a bone. Ever had a bone density test done?

As an FYI for all - drinking colas, with all the phosphoric acid in them, upsets the calcium to phosphorus ratio in the body and accelerates the rate of bone loss as you age. If you're going to drink a cola, take some calcium to offset that.

@ BJM Yes, I had a bone density test a couple years ago, along with anything else my DR could think of while I had insurance. ;-) If anything, I think it's a depth perception issue, made worse by not having my glasses on.

This isn't anything new for me, which is why I don't go to the DR for it unless the toe is out of place. I know how to 'buddy toe' it until it's healed in 6 weeks.
