Good Morning LL! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Well, that didn't last long. :YMSIGH: I slept through the +5 alarm at midnight but did get the +6~41  Tess would be bouncing anyway, stupid mistake though. Not the only one I've made lately. I got Emma on Friday evening. She was very sweet weh we were w/ her, but just soooo hated being closed up alone. So yesterday morning she got away from me and headed for the field. No sign of her and still no return this morning. :YMSIGH: I so wanted to do something good and help her and have probably made things worse since she had a harness on. I hope she can get out of it and i really hope she comes back.

Mom is not looking good, please keep the prayers coming. We had hope for improvement by yesterday, but the nurse said they are planning to transfer her to "comfort care" today or tomorrow. So I don't think things look good. I had thought that I was ready for this, but that really hit home.

WCR Just 4 Ps today, Clean Plate Club and a pretty dismal morning around here

Re: 2/10 Tess AMPS~312

(((((Ann)))))

You have so much on your plate right now. Continued prayers that your DM will rally and can return to her home. I know pretty well what you are going though, having been there with my dear Auntie Elsie. Sending you lots of vines for patience, and fortitude.

I hope Emma will return today. Keeping fingers and paws crossed.

Tess, clear that bounce and get back to the lagoon. Rusty needs you to keep an eye on things since he got a big-time fur shot this morning and will be way up on shore.

Hang in there,

Ella & Rusty

I don't think we're ever really ready. We just fool ourselves. It's rough no matter what the circumstances.
Prayers for you and your mother.

And I bet Emma will come back. Just keep setting food out for her, a little dry even. ( kitty crack keeps them coming back)
Most likely Emma is coming around in the wee hours when no one is around.
I have an outdoor cat that I did that dance with for a year before I got him to learn that my backyard/patio was his safe haven.
He loved canned food.

Re: 2/10 Tess AMPS~312

(((Ann))) so sorry about DM. Hoping and praying for the best treatment and outcome for her. Oh no with Emma. I agree that she will be back; just put out her very favorite food. Maggie accidentally got out when I first had her indoor, and setting out some smelly friskies brought her straight home. Keep us posted.

Re: 2/10 Tess AMPS~312

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O)

many healing vines for your DM. I will think positive. And I know... one always thinks they are prepared, but the reality can really hit home. Mega hugs for you.

Oh my on Emma.... I expect she will come back. I think perhaps she's reclaiming her turf out there, and once that is all done she will return. I really do think you did well by her. Got her the care she needed, she's been spayed, she's now much more able to care for herself in eh unlikely event she does not come back. It always amazes me how well and quickly those kitties can get out of those harnesses. I'd leave the food out, she'll be back.

OK Tess.... great day yesterday. Now clear that bounce, and back to the blues and greens for you. And whirl you are at it - toss Mannie a rope so he can follow you.

Have a good one today Ann. Hugs all around.

Re: 2/10 Tess AMPS~312

Ann, I'm so sorry to hear that there was no improvement with your mom. Sending prayers and more prayers. Sending prayers for Emma and hope she comes home soon. Tess, lovely numbers yesterday. Now, will you please come down and surf the blues/greens again! Prayers, healing vines and hugs to you and your family (two and four legged.)

Re: 2/10 Tess AMPS~312

DH here with an update from the hospital. Mom is a bit better this morning but still weak. Ann will update later.
Emma was waiting for her breffis this morning as we were about to leave for the hospital. So she is fed and in her quarters. She was missing the harness and leash. :-D

Re: 2/10 Tess AMPS~312

Morning guys so happy Emma is back! Continued prayers for DM so sorry things are not going well. Take care guys and have a great Sunday!

Re: 2/10 Tess AMPS~312 +6~228

Tess is on her way dow, so come along Mannie you guys need to be blue for tonight.

DM is doing better and she will probably be sent to a nursing home tomorrow. All the different types of care and what medicare will or won't pay for is making my head spin, but i think we have it worked out.

Thanks for all the prayers and vines, LL scores again!

Re: 2/10 Tess AMPS~312 +6~228

Piling on some more healing vines for your DM. We went through it with my DA and DMIL and you are so right on the various options. It can be overwhelming.

Yeah for Emma knowing where her home is. :-D Does she have some ID (microchip or tattoo) on her now?

Nice for Tess to start heading down but slowly from that 41 last night. Neko started strumming a few blues notes but hopes Tess and Mannie will be along shortly.

Re: 2/10 Tess AMPS~312 +6~228

Yes she has a chip, but not registered. Animal control said it takes a few days to get all the paper work in.

I feel s stupid letting her get away, but it is so hard to get in and out of the laundry room where we are keeping her for now, without her getting out and it opens to the outside! Thus the harness and leash (which she has disposed of  ), but she is faster than I am!

I thought Emma would return home! She knows a good thing when she has it. Sounds like she slipped out of her harness and leash?
Continued healing vines and prayers for your DM.

Re: 2/10 Tess AMPS~312 PMPS~329

:YMSIGH: Back to pink. I don't know but Tess may be getting a cold or an allergy. She started sneezing yesterday, She had no contact w/ Emma and Emma had been here less than a day so i don't think she could have caught anything. She's sneezing and her eyes are watering, not a thick discharge just watery like tears.
I had put one of those calming collars on her and one on Emma. It has a very strong flowery smell, so much so that I took it off Tess. I couldn't stand it so I don't know how she could. I wonder if it could be the cause of the tearing? also wondering if we should take her to the vet.

Emma seems fine, none the worse the wear for her escape. i was worried because she was just spayed on Friday morning. She doesn't like being confined, but when we go in and sit w/ her she purrs and is all over us rolling around and wanting belly rubs. The hard part is getting back out the door! I'm worried because Tess is sneezing so we are still changing clothes before coming back in the house.

Re: 2/10 Tess AMPS~312 PMPS~329

Maybe she went to the nearest tavern for a catnip brew, had a few too many and had to hock the harness and lead for a ride home? Emma will never tell.

Sending healing vines to DM.

I am glad she is back safe and sound... :-D Now that she is spayed I suspect that in a few she will settle in more. Paws crossed!

I hope Tess is feeling better too - sneezing could be anything, but I suspect the calming collar. Maybe whatever is in the scent bothers her. ?? You ave been so good about contact with her and Emma, that I doubt it could have come from Emma. unlikely? Hope fully she will cease with the sneezes in the morning. Good vines if you decide to take her to the vet.

I am glad too that your DM is feeling better. and I can so relate with the medicare/etc stuff that one goes through. remember it all too well with my dad, and then my mom. Good luck with it all.

Re: 2/10 Tess AMPS~312 PMPS~329

You have really got your hands full. Sending many prayers for your DM and also for you as you travel this road with her.

I'm so glad Emma came back. Poor Tess, though, not feeling well. I hope she gets better soon so you can start introducing them.

Re: 2/10 Tess AMPS~312 PMPS~329

Do you have any L lysine? It's good for the sneezies. I buy the 500mg capsules in the health food store, break them open, and sprinkle 1/4 teasp. over Rusty's food twice a day, then mix in a little water. It is tasteless. Rusty has chronic upper respiratory issues.

It sounds to me like something in the collar. I'll bet it goes away now.

I'm glad your mother is moving to a real nursing home. We did that for my aunt. The paperwork is crushing, but once she spent all of the little money she had left, we were able to get her on Medicaid.

Glad Emma came home.

Tess, please come back down now! No need to keep Rusty company.

Ni ni, Hang in there!

Ella & Rusty
