Good Morning LL! Thank you Elsa! :coffee::coffee: Tess seems to be feeling much better this morning, but her appy is off again. Or maybe the offerings are not to her liking. I'm running out of options!:banghead: Since she got the UTI nothing seems to please her.

The vet called this morning, definitely bacteria in the urine. Overall her blood panel was good, but the kidney values are up a bit. We are going to talk about starting squids regularly. She said that they will help flush the toxins the kidneys can't take care of out of her blood and can even help w/ inappetence since she will be feeling better. The bad news is that Tess is down to 5 lbs, although some of that could be from dehydration from the UTI. We got to find something this girl will eat!

WCR 4 Ps not too much playing although there usually isn't, Clean Plate Club, Vines to all the kittehs in need of them and hugs to all their beans.

I think when a kitty is ready for fluids, doing them regularly makes a big difference in how they feel. Hopefully they will help Tess with her appy. Is she a good candidate for assist-feeding? When Trix's appy went off, assist-feeding almost acted like an appy stimulant - as if it remnded her that a full belly felt good.

Sending appy and feel better prayers to Tess!

Tess, sweetie, eat yer fuds! You really will feel better when you do.

I agree about the fluids making them feel better. Minka definitely perks up after hers.

I can totally empathize with the inappetance issue. We are constantly battling it here. Ondansetron, Cerenia, Pepcid and Mirtazapine are the tools I use. Plus, remember, if you have to feed a higher phos food because that's all she'll eat, then that's what you have to do. Eating trumps everything. One thing I've found, and this may be a chemo issue, is that when she doesn't seem to want to eat, if I smear a little of the food on her mouth, after she licks it she decides, hey, maybe I do want some of that! I also hold the plate right up to her nose, and sometimes that works, too.

Sending lots of appy vines.

Awwwww Tess eat your fuds baby girl they's good for you. Sending appy vines for her. I'm betting you've probably tried all the sprinkle on top things but just in case - Parmesan cheese will usually pique Vyktor's interest - sometimes he'll just try to lick that off the top but generally some food gets in too

Hi Ann :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Sorry I missed you guys yesterday....

Good luck with the fluids. It should help. Good luck too with the fuds. I am going through that with Elsa now. She too is a bit on the skinny side. Looking for that miracle food. Eat up Tess!

Have a good one today. Tess you surf well, 'K? How about a nice low blue....
