Purrdy got an increase this morning to try and bring him down a bit further to spend more time under 120 in the healing range. I will be keeping a close eye on him, particularly given that his numbers weren't so high before the increase. I'm hoping that he'll stop waltzing and move it up to a foxtrot. Thanking everyone for their advice it was a borderline case but I'm ready, willing and (fortunately) able to dance to his tune right now so decided to go for it.

Progress on the foreign kitty interrelations this morning :) Purrdy could see Vyktor having his breffis from his testing spot and no hissing, he settled for tail flicking instead. Good work Purrdy :cat:

Good luck with the increase. Here's hoping he moves from the 90's down a notch or two. My two kitties just co-exist (though one wants more), I hope you get to that stage soon.

To copy the link on an iPad, touch and hold your finder on the browser link on the top of the page, a circle or bubble should appear with a pop up selection. Choose Select All, then choose Copy. When you start your condo, tap and hold in the edit box and a Paste pop up should appear.
 
I've missed all the Purrdy info - but i think i've pieced together that you're kitty-sitting for your mom for a month or so - is that right? you're a good daughter!

Fingers crossed that the increase brings him down a bit. Interesting how he's been blue at every dose . ..
 
Thanks Wendy I think I have it now, I did manage to send us into a continual loop to today for a while there :rolleyes: and thanks Carla for putting it in.

@julie & punkin (ga) yes doing the cat sitting for a month or so. I've been thinking his spreadsheets a bit odd too, maybe because we kept him at the 1 unit a bit too long? Or maybe it just looks so odd because he bypassed the whole bouncing thing anti jinx

would you tell me about your mom's insulin? is it pens or a vial? bought from a pharmacy or the vet's?

might be nothing, but you know me, i like to ask lots of questions. :smuggrin:
 
@julie & punkin (ga) I love that you're asking questions since it shows that you're giving him your thoughts - thank you Julie :) I also had some suspicions about the insulin at one point and then the day I was going to tell Mum we should try changing it he started throwing us some green, that was after the increase to 1.5units.

Mum had a pen purchased from her Melbourne vet that was used up until he came over here, they had to order it in for him. I have a pen cartridge that I purchased from a Perth vet (just realised I should have highlighted the change on his spreadsheet, will fix that) that I started using when he arrived here, they had stock on hand.
 
From a hiss to a tail flick. Absolutely progress. Polly adored my tuxie boys. They, her. Now they've all crossed over and she's stuck with two "loner" kitties. That is, I suspect, why she's become so much more attached to me. Wish she had a cat friend, but it's not to be.

Sending lots of good dose wishes for the bump up.

@Tiger and Ruth Vyktor by a long shot, he's 18 while Purrdy's a relative baby at 10

More progress at the +6 test, Vyktor came into the kitchen meowing and carrying on because his bowl was empty and Purrdy didn't react at all :):):) Think the story might be a bit different if either or them thought they might come nose to nose though! Meg rabbit's not at all fussed when I carry him past her but when he stuck his nose out his door at ground level this morning her eyes went huge!

I'm starting to wonder about doing 8 hour dosing for Purrdy while he's here, it just doesn't seem to last long enough for him...
 
Yay for progress. I have four kitties that more or less tolerate each other. There are times when they hiss and spit, and times I've actually caught them sleeping within a couple feet of each other, but I wouldn't call them friends. Roommates, more like. Since Purdy is a visitor and not a permanent resident, perhaps it would be best if Vyktor and Meg just learn to tolerate him and not get too attached! Just a thought.
