WOOHOO! Day 14 is here and even though we're not starting in the green we are still very happy!!

YEAH!!!!!

You guys and this site are a God send and I will make sure all my family and friends know about it in case they ever need you!! Sending so much love and the biggest hugs possible!!!

Yes you should monitor, at least once a week.Ps. Now that we start our new chapter tomorrow I just have one question. Do we just test once a week, a couple times a week?? I can't mess up Now!

Most people test weekly for a while and then go to monthly. It's up to you on the monthly. You can keep testing weekly. Remember Nemo is still diabetic so be careful about what food you give and any medicines with steroids. If Nemo seems off in any way, make sure you get a test to see if the numbers are creeping up. Good luck.Ps. Now that we start our new chapter tomorrow I just have one question. Do we just test once a week, a couple times a week?? I can't mess up Now!
Thank you! There is no way that I'll be changing anything in his diet! If it ain't broke don't screw with it! Lol! I'll keep you posted. Most people test weekly for a while and then go to monthly. Thank you! Oh no way my guys are ever getting dry food again!! Just gonna keep doing what's worked.Yes you should monitor, at least once a week.
I monitored once daily for quite a while, then moved to weekly.
If you introduced any new food, medication it is also wise to check BG before and after you make changes, just in case it affects his BG adversely.
George came out of remission following a steroid shot he had to have. Also his BG went up when he got a tooth problem, so keep a check on his teeth, sometimes BG that's creeping up may be your first indication that there is a tooth problem.
Remember he's still diabetic, just diet controlled. Small regular meals are easier on the pancreas, and will further aid his recovery. Keep him away from HC dry food, kitties have been knocked out of remission when dry HC kibble has been reintroduced.
Enjoy the falls
