Hello everyone!

Thought I should post a little condo about mocha .. she just celebrated 11 months OTJ!! She is still doing great .. getting her beauties in the morning and whenever else she can lure us to the bathroom! We've started hiding q tips in other areas of the home, just so we can clean our own ears without her in our faces :lol: She still does her laps around the island in the kitchen at each meal time .. We've started calling that her "walk about" :lol:

She seems to be in a love triangle with our humidifiers .. A few years back we bought one, and she just fell in love with it, especially when we fill it up and it gurgles down the water .. she get's her eyes real big and lays her ears back .. she raises a paw and touches it :-D This past fall we picked up a second one .. Now she doesn't know what to do when they are both gurgling with the new water! She runs back and forth from one to the other and then has to decide which one to lay by .. It's a tough choice!

So all in all, everything in mocha's world is going pretty good .. she can't wait for next month when it's going to be her one year OTJ annifursary! It's hard to believe it's been this long already but we are enjoying it! .. and of course, still so very grateful to the wonderful members here that got her to the falls .. And to all the newbies who might be reading mocha's condo, we didn't get to the falls quickly .. lots of struggles and frustrations and even if we hadn't of made it to the falls, we would still be grateful to the members here, and what this board provides, because mocha is still here with us .. it isn't always about getting OTJ, but instead, having a happy healthy kitty who doesn't have a care in the world ..

That humidifier is fascinating! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: Mocha, we are so glad to get an update. Your bean visits our condo all the time so it is nice to have a chance to visit yours. Whenever I get discouraged, I always think of you and your story. Thank you for that! Have a great weekend, Devon!

Awww, what a lovely condo for Mocha. Devon, her love affair with the humidifiers is so cute. :-D
It hardly seems almost a year already, that she's bee OTJ. :-D
 
Happy 11 months. I can attest to some of the days when you felt so frustrated and how astounded you were when Mocha went down the dose ladder. I have to say a chuckled over Mocha being enamored with the humidifier. What a silly girl!
 
Oh boy says Maggie, what a nice treat to have a Mocha condo today! So glad to hear how well she is doing and still liking her beauties in the mornings. Sweet with her enjoying the humidifiers. She says, well you did buy them for me, but I will share them with you. Almost a year, amazing, and can't wait for the one year party. Have a great day and thanks for all your support and visits.
 
OH LOOK!!! A Mocha Condo!!!! OH WOW!!! THANK YOU DEVON!!!

We rarely get the opportunity to post in a Mocha condo! We want to send lots and lots and LOTS of hugs and headbutts to you. You visit our condo every day - it means so much to me. I love my morning 'Mocha' hug!

It wasnt an easy road for you, and there were many trial & tribulations getting Mocha to good health, but you were consistant, persistant, worked as hard as I have ever seen beans work, to keep your sweet girl well..
And look what happened!! She went OTJ!!
You are truly a success story here in Lantus Land, and we are so glad to see your caring posts in our condos, and your heart is still here with us!! Love & Hugs from us!! We miss you but are so Happy for you!

Mocha, That is a really attractive boyfriend you have there, but what do you do if the power goes off???

I'm so glad to see a Mocha condo! It took me quite awhile to figure out why I couldn't find her condos. I so appreciate your visiting us everyday and wanted to visit you. Finally I noticed the OTJ in your signature. Duh! Sometimes I'm slower than I care to admit.

I'm glad to hear she is doing so well. I share Roni's concern. You really must get backup power for her boyfriend humidifier.

So great to see a Mocha condo! I can hardly believe it's been 11 months already. Muffin is excited for Mocha's 1 year party! Too cute she is with her walk about and humidifier antics! :lol: What a character. Great to hear from you Devon, hope all is well is you and Peter.
 
Thanks for stopping in everyone! So glad the humidifier story made you all smile .. she does love her "hoomy"! Not sure what we'll do in case of a power failure .. probably listen to mocha singing the blues :lol: Of course, when power is restored, we will be the best beanz ever! I always enjoy stopping in everyone's condos .. Don't usually have much advice to give (which is odd, considering how long we've been here :o ) but I am glad that just saying hi to you all makes a difference!
 
Hi Devon, I just wanted to say congratulations on the 11 months OTJ. I am new here, so I didn't witness all that you have been through and the hard work you did, but by everyone's posts, I see you are a wonderful bean for Mocha. And also, thanks for visiting Daphne's condo the other night with some advice about her poo problem, it helped.

We'll be looking for the 1 year celebration!

I'm so very happy to hear Mocha is doing so well and is happy and full of energy. How lovely! I can't believe it's almost been a year, amazing!

It is so great that you come visiting so often to remind us of the success stories when we are feeling frazzled you are an inspiration to us all. I'm going to get my party dress ready for next months celebrations, I'm sure Mocha won't mind that it's covered in fur :-D
 
Oh Mocha, you look so happy sitting there next to your Hoomyboy! And I see that you have two!! That's our Mocha--never does anything half-way! Happy 11 months, Mocha Jo, Devon and Peter (and Twix, too)! We are certainly looking forward to your annifursary party in March.

Devon, your girl looks wonderful. Thank you so much for your daily visits and for all the encouragement you give to old and new members alike. You are an inspiration.

OMG Devon - I am still laughing! The description of how she looks at the "hoomy" with wide eyes, puts her ears flat and taps it was so stinkin' funny!!!! I could actually picture it perfectly. She's such a character.

Congrats on the 11 months. You guys sure were persistent...you never gave up! Mocha going OTJ was a wonderful thing. I was so happy for you guys. Thank goodness for Lantus insulin....it really gives cats a great chance to heal. xo
 
So nice to see a Mocha condo! I really can't believe it has almost been a year since Mocha went OTJ!

Funny on the humidifier. Simon also loves the humidifier. Only his fascination with it is because of food. He knows that when I plug in the humidifier, it means I am going to bed and he gets another meal! Anything related to food is a girlfriend to him.

aw, devon - so good to see a mocha condo! we get to come see you for a change! you are always so awesome coming around and encouraging everyone every day! i appreciate you.

i love the story of the humidifier and mocha's affair! fiddler on the roof is one of my favorite movies, and i keep thinking of Tevya telling one of his daughter's "a bird may love a dog, but where would they make a home?" fortunately mocha and her humidifier can live together just fine! :-D

Congrats on the 11 months. I can't believe that it has been that long. It is just so nice to think that Mocha remains OTJ. I so remember the frustrations, and then the descent into OTJ. I thank you too for continuing to visit us all. It means alot to so many of us.

love the humidifier story. Cats can be such fun.

She hopes all her LL friends can come by! Georgia, if mocha is eating, and we refill "hoomy" she'll abandon fuds to go sit by her man :lol: Willing to give up fuds for her man .. Traci, I agree .. lantus can do really good things for cats, even if it takes awhile ;-)

Devon (I've been calling you Peter all this time! :oops: ), thanks for posting about Mocha. I'm glad I got to learn more about her. She's got an inspiring story, and your last paragraph made me tear up a bit. She's an adorable girl, and her humidifier boyfriend is the funniest thing I've heard! Cats are funny. Thanks for telling us about her.

I never can get over how much Mocha and Lucy look alike. They took a similar route to the Falls, too. Why would they want to do anything the easy way?

The Hoomy thing is cute. :smile: I once had a Siamese who would stare at her Drinkwell fountain like that. She would sleep by it all day. Funny how they get fixated on things.

Monica, no worries! It's about 99% of the time me posting but peter does get on here as well .. libby, mocha and lucy could be identical twins in my book .. and of course they took the crazy route to the falls .. that's how meezers are! :-D celi, YOU are the one whose humor cracks us up, I just love waiting to see what pics you post .. they are always spot on!
 
I'm late to say thank you, Devon, for all your visits and encouragement. 'Mocha and the Humidifier' sounds like it has the makings of a children's book. :lol:
