Morning! I think Maggie Manx is getting back on track. Yesterday's Merrick Cowboy Cookout seemed to cause a spike. I'm going to post on health and ask about those ingredients. It's too bad as she really loves it; I can always use it as a mc carb food in her case! All P's in place, especially playful. This morning when I got up, I found Maggie on top my bed just sitting politely, and her mousey toy was on the floor right where I would get up. She dragged it in from the living room where I had it propped up in its resting place. I have no idea how long she was waiting for me to get up and play.

Awww what a sweetie!!!! Did it work?

I've been told that its not just carb content - that some kitties just react differently to foods even if the carb content is supposed to be the same.

Thanks Karrie for the info. That makes sense, as Mags is very carb sensitive. She does very well on Supreme Sophisticat Chopped Grill and a little of the Merrick Chicken, but the Grammy's Pot Pie and Cowboy Cookout not so good.

Good morning, Ann & Maggie.. nice start to the day, Maggie is always so consistent - that is so very nice
I know a lot of people feed Cowboy Cookout, I know it is lower carb on the food charts, but I really don't use the food charts because they are so outdated. Anyway, you fed it & perceived it to be the reason her #s went higher & now you know for Maggie. Have a great day!

Nice green for Maggie! So glad she's getting back to pretty numbers! It is interesting how different cats react to different foods... Willie is very carb senstive, and since he generally eats exclusively raw, any canned food can cause a spike for him.

Love that she brought you a toy and waited so patiently for playtime! Such a sweet girl! Hope you guys have lots of fun in store for today!

Hi,
Just got home a short while ago and the 140 bg is a food spike. I had to leave a little Cowboy Cookout and FF Grilled for Maggie, as I had an appointment after the +3. I checked her after the 98 bg and she was still dropping, so I had to keep her safe. The problem is I never know just the right amount of hc and mc, so it's trial and error. I expect her to go up even more. She's sleeping all curled up in her bed.

Yikes! this is the food spike from the hc food I left for Maggie when I had to leave her for a few hours mid morning.

Thanks so much Karrie. That is how I felt, too, when I left! I should probably change my shoot times so I can be home during those hours. It seems like I'm always gone when she starts dropping.
