Well, down he came! Apparently he’s been hanging out in Libre LO territory, or close to it, for around an hour. (I just got home, looking at graph.) He’s rising now.

I got one blood test - 73 - and the Libre concurrently showed 52. So apparently only about a 20 point spread in that range, on this sensor. That would suggest that he was probably about 60-65 when I did the first in-the-door scan and got a reading of 41. I will still have to get some higher and lower readings on other occasions to check how the variance differs in different ranges. But he’s climbing too quickly (at least on the Libre end) now for comparisons to be accurate (when rising/climbing fast, the lag makes it hard to get an at-the-same-time reading.)

He’s purry and just fine. Didn’t enjoy the ear prick, but was good. I actually dare say he’s getting better about it… still hates them, but better.

At +13, he’s at 77. There was a drop in between, enough of one that I just gave up waiting and fed him. I’m less worried about a food bump than I am him sliding down too far. Where he is now is fine, but I didn’t like how he was trending.

I’ve been waffling about whether to keep it 80, or make it 70. But tonight I ended up coming down on the reduce at 80 side. It took his regular dinner plus some carbs to get him to lift 20 points, so it felt to me like he was down pretty solid. Now he finally seems to actually be trending upward, so I gave 1.5 units at 14.5. Gonna have to walk that late time back this weekend…

We’ll just have to see how this reduction holds… last reduction happened when he went into the mid 70s and it worked that time, after the days of bouncing of course…
