Good morning! Starting off in stinky pink today, but only 38 points higher than yesterday amps, and she dropped to green. I started the ear ointment yesterday, and it does have a steroid in it, so I am told it may increase bg. Shes doing great otherwise, and loves the ear massage after the ointment goes in!:cat: Ive been massaging her ears for a long time though, so that helps. Im off today, and will be taking third kitty for nail trim at the vet, but have to hide the carrier from Chi Chi..she will bolt if she sees it, and I wont see her all day!
Have a great day everyone!

Hi Laura, Well, if the ear ointment works, it's worth it. How long does she have to take it?

Have a good day and let's hope that Chi Chi's numbers will come down.

Ella & Rusty

p.s. thanks for telling me about Laura/Skinky updates on You Caring

Well I just had an interesting trip to the vet..loaded kitty up, drove 30 min. with kitty civie crying and panting all the way, get there and they say they cant do nail trim due to she not vaccinated for rabies!:banghead: I've been going there 15 years now, and they just did my 2 other kitties this week, and none of them have had any vaccines in 7 years (don't get me started on why..don't believe in them), so she has me waiting for 30 min. while she checks with tech manager and owner (big barking dogs in the lobby too!)..nope..no can do. So while I had her boxed up, I pulled over into a strip mall where there was a groomers, and took her in. They did it no questions..and for 5 bucks!:woot: Ha! Ugh...and to top it off, I got a text while I was waiting, from my assistant at work, who informed me that the health inspector showed up..early..not due til March!:nailbiting: But, we passed, so worried for naught. After the 30 min drive back home with howler in the back seat, I am done for the day doing anything... I dont drink..or I would right now, but gonna go have some coffee...:coffee:

Interesting change of policy at the vet. New owner? New management? Or just an inexplicable shift? Certainly unfortunate for you and the girl.

Took my dog for a bath today at a local groomer. She does nails and anals. Yahooooo, much less expensive than my vet. And she was soooo nice; Will-the-dog was sooo good.

Everything crossed that the ear meds continue to go well and the icky ears become unicky.

Thanks for the visits Serryn, Marilyn, Elise and Ella. I have long since calmed down since my rant earlier:joyful:. I have no idea why they insisted they couldn't do Putters trim. I didn't recognize the tech that first told me that, so I suppose it was her call to be made. Most everyone knows me there, I've seen all the Dr.s there at one time or another, but it is a policy, so I didn't push it. Most just don't enforce it if they know the cat. All's well that ends well..now I just wish Chi Chi:)s numbers were a bit lower, but with the ear drops on board, may be awhile. Have a good peaceful evening ..
