Hello Beans and Kitties,

Yesterday's Condo

Basil starts the day in the green at 96.

He seems fine and just a wee bit annoyed at the snow. He is sitting up on the back of a chair in the living room, watching it carefully. I know he blames me when there is no sunshine.

He and Rosie and Emmett (drooler) have now learned their feeding times and they show up in advance to get good seats, I suppose. (Emmett says he wants people to know that Italian Greyhounds do NOT drool.)

Better than looking at the snow, I am sure, lol.

Hi Lydia,

I think this is the first time I have stopped by your condo, but I am wondering about the quantity of food you give. Sami weighs about 12 lbs, use to weigh 14 but lost 2 lbs after diagnosis, and I was giving 3+ cans of food a day. So many people told me that was way too much, and we have since reduced to 2 cans, and a snack if she goes low. I didn't know if your kitty was heavier or if there was some medical reason for the amount you give, or just because Basil is a big eater. Just wondering!

Looking good, Basil! Sorry you're stuck staring at snow, but it could be worse...for example, you could be required to go to work like the rest of us!!! Too bad we can't all be kitties...not working sounds pretty awesome. :lol:

Thanks for the clarification, Emmett. We don't refer to our dogs as droolers, either, since they don't drool! That's my favorite thing about our two dogs. :mrgreen:

Emmett says he appreciates everyone's understanding. He says, "I may be almost hairless, nearly toothless and have seizures, but I have my dignity!"

Tina, Basil just eats a lot. Right now 2.75 FF cans (= about 220 or so calories) a day seems to be right. He was eating more when his numbers were higher and I do plan to cut him back eventually to 2.5 cans, but I don't want to mess with success too much right now! His sister requires quite a bit less, BTW.

Blue for +8. Pretty blue.

After his tes, he ate all his +4 minimeal AND all his +8 minimeal. He must have remembered he was hungry!

Basil has given us a +3 of 90. A little higher than we are used to at this time.

My request for "eyes" is just to see if people think he is doing okay on this dose. (I see that Jill posted basically while I did saying he looks good, so I guess I have my answer!)

yes, he's doing well. i am a little curious about those blue AM +8s, but he is coming down at pmps...
