Hi Everyone,
We decided to come home yesterday--a day early--because we had accomplished all that we had planned to do and a coastal snowstorm was brewing. The storm began earlier than predicted, so we had 2/3rds of the trip in blowing snow (as far as Saratoga Springs) and the rest in sunshine. Rusty was, as always, a purrfect traveler. He had really good appetite in the city and his city "bounces" were all in higher blue numbers. He (and we) were tired yesterday when we got home and Rusty was up in the low yellows at bedtime, but today is in high blue again. The present cartridge of Lev is getting low, so I may start a new one this evening. I always like to keep an old cartridge with a little insulin left in it for emergencies (e.g., if the new insulin turns out to be bad, or if we are on a trip and I happen to break the present cartridge, then we can get by OK for a few days with what is left in the old one, which I always keep in the same box).
Sorry to miss all of your condos yesterday and not to have been very much on the board during our sojourn in the city. We were pretty busy the whole time. Today is a catch-up day: bills to pay, shopping to do, etc. Tomorrow I'm going on a snowshoe up a small mountain with friends, so have to get my gear ready. We finally have some good snow. Winter Carnival begins here on Friday (the theme is "Adirondack Wildlife" and there are ice statues of moose, bear, deer, skunk, hare, etc. in front of the Ice Palace, which went up quickly in the 3 days we were gone. Looks like the weather will cooperate this year: cold with some snow every day.
Wishing all a fine day and sending healing vines to all in need,
