Gabby is doing well. She was playing in the cubes before breakfast. Those cubes are getting quite the workout -- I've found one of the seams is splitting. I guess it's time for replacement cubes. Gizmo is being a fussy eater. He wants to graze which doesn't work well with having Hoover Girl around.

I'm hoping to get out of the office early today. They are predicting evening rush will be mayhem. You know the weather is going to be bad when the Today Show sends Al Rokker to your neighborhood!

Good morning guys ... nice sunny yellow for gabby .. looks like quite a few sunny kitties this morning .. I bet gabby would appreciate a new cube, she sure does love them ... be careful out in the storm today Sienne .. it sounds like it's going to be one nasty storm .. have a great day!

Re: 2/1 Gabby AMPS~289

a sunny start to Gabby's day. Wish we had some of that sun here.
Stay safe, especially on the roads.

Re: 2/1 Gabby AMPS~289

It's too bad you even have to drive to tbp. Gabby and Gizmo both think you should stay home. I hope Gabby gives you some nice numbers today.

Re: 2/1 Gabby AMPS~289

You drive to work in Chicago??

Hi Gabby, You're not the only kitty who rips up cubes: Rusty's is full of claw punctures. "Big Bug" gets under the cube and Rusty pounces. Have a good day, snowstorm and all,

Ella & Rusty

Sweet, you guys must be special if Al visits! Hope the storm fizzles and you don't have a nightmare commute. I can only imagine.

Nice +2 for Gabby. Would it help to sprinkle chicken dust on gizmo's food when he gets up to leave to keep him eating?

I hear that Chicago is getting pummeled earlier than expected. Hoping you get home soon... safe, sound and warm! Sending all my safe commute vibes your way!!

I'm home and my day tomorrow is cancelled out. The drive home wasn't bad but I don't know if it would have been as easy if I left the office an hour later. My usual route takes me along Grant Park. The snow is already blowing across the road surface from the open "green" spaces making me think it will be a nightmare in a few hours. Visibility is rapidly deteriorating and the wind was rocking my car -- and the storm is just starting. I am very glad to be home with my kitties, even if I got a very quizzical, "What are you doing home this early?" look from Gizmo.

(The snacks I routinely leave out were uneaten at +8. I really wonder what time they eat those snacks since they are usually gone when I get home -- which is much later.)

Glad you got home safely, Sienne, and neat that you get to have a "snow day" tomorrow. Your kitties' internal clocks are probably geared to the time you usually get home. So they probably eat when they know you will be home soon. Stu (and Alice, too) used to "save" the food we would leave out and dive into it the minute we got in the door. We didn't have regular schedules and they obviously didn't want to take any chances! (Rusty has always been a free-feeder and eats small amounts when he is hungry.)

Enjoy (?) your blizzard. The wind-blown snow sounds awesome!
