I'm trying to be proactive because I am supposed to work tonight right after I give Diamond his second shot. My concern is his +7 and +8 are in the blue. I'm not sure what to do going forward. He did start Zobaline yesterday. Could this cause weird BG numbers? His SS is current. I'm so new to this. I have no idea what to expect day to day.

Your blues are safe numbers. He’s not getting into green yet so you’ll be okay to go out after the shot. And as for not knowing what to expect day to day - I have been doing this with Silver for four months this time round (he’s currently out of remission from 2014) and I STILL don’t know what to expect day to day.

He could be doing a bit of bouncing from the blues back into pink. When they get lower than usual numbers they get a bit of a “panicky liver” and dump sugar into the bloodstream again. They do get over that eventually.

He should be OK with mid blues on the data you have gathered. Any time you are worried, you can always leave out food for Diamond to snack on while you are gone.

Just keep gathering data, and Diamond's patterns will start to emerge. Those tests before bed are really key to get if you are gone all day.

We have two dosing methods here, Tight Regulation and Start Low Go Slow. Take a read over those two Sticky Notes and see which dosing method would work for you. If there is any dry food in the picture, SLGS is the choice. Using a dosing method with lots of data behind it, will help you keep kitty safe. And depending on which method you decide on, you may want to increase the dose to 1.25 units.

Thanks. His numbers went into yellow ps. So I gave him a full dose. I have to work but have questions I will follow up with tomorrow. Thanks again
