It's February already????

Here's yesterday's condo.

Cobb is well this morning. All Ps in place, including the 6th one (PITA) with his food. We're still trying to figure it out. I may have to buy a different timed feeder.

So...we need to move Cobb's shot time up an hour. If we move it from 8/8 to 7/7, I won't be as stressed around Matty's bedtime and Matt can get a little more sleep. It'll also mean I can get a +3 at 10pm instead of just a +2. That may give some more clues as to where the cycle is going, especially since we're getting into bigger doses here.

So this morning I tested/fed/shot 15 minutes early. I know I have to do it gradually. Should I do it 15 minutes each cycle or each day? I just want to make sure I'm doing it right...we may have to make more time adjustments in the near future.

Strange dream last night that I had a question about Cobb and dosing or something, and a bunch of you were on a conference call discussing the best course of action.   Makes me laugh now.

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. Hope to see action here.

Re: 2/1 Cobb AMPS 248

I think there are 2 options to move shots... 1 being 1/2 hour increments, or the other being 15 minute increments, just like the Day Light Savings Times. You may experience a bit more bouncing from the 1/2 hour one as opposed to the 15 minute one, however that's normal, and hopefully will settle down within a few days. Good luck!

Re: 2/1 Cobb AMPS 248

Good morning Cobb and Suzanne. Nice sunny start this morning, a cat could go places from there. Blue I hope Mr. Cobb please?

The new shot plan sounds good. I could always tell a lot more from a +3 before bed than a +2. I like moving shots 15 minutes a cycle. Not sure it made much difference to Neko's numbers, but Neko is so hard core about her food expectations that I try to disrupt that as little as possible. Cobb's depot is large enough it probably won't make a bit difference whether you do 15 minutes a cycle or 30 minutes once a day.

Good morning Suzanne and Cobb!

Funny about the dream!! Did the conference call come up with any ideas?

Very nice sunny start for Cobb this morning! His spreadsheet sure is looking a lot different than when you first started! :-D

Looks like you're doing what we finally ended up doing and adjusting the shot schedule back so we could get a night test in later than +2. I'm NOT a morning person, so when we started this dance, I was on an 11/11 schedule so I didn't have to wake up too early...of course this meant if China went low on the PM cycle, I'd be up testing until at least 5am, so that idea was scrapped. We finally got back to the 6/6 we're on now. I hate getting up at 6am, and half the time I think my eyes aren't really open when I'm trying to fill the syringe, but the 6/6 is working out well. I can always go BTB if I want to (barring other plans like doctors) and since I am a night person, it's no problem for me to get a +6 on the PM cycle

Hope you see some pretty blues(and even maybe a nice green?) today!! (anti jinx)

Ugh. This cat is going to drive me nuts!! 273, Cobb?? confused_cat

Looks like I'll be increasing either this next cycle or tomorrow morning. Would you jump by 1 unit and see how he responds? And just monitor closely??

Re: 2/1 Cobb AMPS 248 +4.75 273

Seems like a lot of our kitties are going in the wrong direction today

I'm certainly no high dose expert, but my first reaction would be to say No

Cobb has gotten into some greens at 11.5 units and blues on 12units, so I'd probably stick with the .5 increases for now and watch his numbers. I think I'd probably go back to fast tracking...If his numbers aren't getting where you want them in 4 cycles, increase...but only .5 at a time

Will be watching to see what others think!

Chris, that's what my gut tells me as well. I'm curious to know what others think as well. I wish he'd find a dose he likes, even if it this much. My mind is tired of thinking about it. And I'd like to not be increasing when I'm not home to watch him.

Re: 2/1 Cobb AMPS 248 +4.75 273

Cobb got down to 113 on this dose so I'd be inclined to go with a .5U increase. The rule of thumb I used was to do the smaller increase if the nadirs were in green or lower blue and the larger increases if nadirs were mid blue and higher.

With a high dose cat, which nadirs he got on a previous dose are almost irrelevant. The question is: what dose does he need now?

That's a good rule of thumb Wendy.

Cobb is earning his dosecrease today. We saw action on the 5th cycle last time. So far 5 cycles on this one and nothing so we journey on...
