Happy Furbruary everyone!

Stayed in the greens through the night. Something a bit odd happened. After our +8 check and snack I was awoken by Bubba crying and crying and then he jumped off the bed, I heard him in the litter box and then he went racing through the house knocking over things like the water dish......thought hmmm aggressive behavior, isn't that one of the signs of hypo? That was at +10 Got up, checked him he was only 64. Thought I better give another small snack to keep him up since he had 2 more hours. He ate gladly, got back in bed and 15 minutes later I heard him vomiting. Up came his last little snack. Gave him another .75 oz of LC. This AM he was at the same number. Not sure what that was all about.

Yesterday

I hope Bubba is doing okay this morning. I wonder if he is constipated. Sometimes they cry if they are constipated and then throw up because of the strain of trying to poo.

Funny you should say that. When he went into the LB, it was poo and very small and hard ones. hmmmmmm you might have hit the nail on the head, Carla. All kind of weird things this AM now at +2- 198! WTH?? Did not expect that!

Poor Bubba, and poor you...sounds unnerving, but it does sound like constipation could be the culprit. I hope he's feeling better now! Did you recheck that +2? It's possible it was a wonky strip....or a crazy spike or bounce induced by the events of the night.

Have a great day, Bobbie!

I did double check it cause I couldn't believe it! Yeah, who knows, it is uncharacteristic for him but then again he's a cat. ;)

My boys like to jump out of the box after a pooh and run into every room upstairs before flying down the loft "pole"
after 17 years I have come to the conclusion it is a cat thing:cat:
I agree maybe hard poops-owch!

Michael does the same thing. After a pooh he runs from one end of the house to the other end. Not all the time but some of the time. He might be a bit constipated, so I give him 1/4 tsp Metimucil (with no added sweetners) bid. This helps.
Hope Bubba feels better.

BFG doesn't run( but sometimes after he poops he wonders about the house singing his little head off:rolleyes:

Sending poop vines and some anti trampoline vines:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
Hope you are both feeling better

What a scary experience!
I give him pumpkin every AM and PM, maybe I'll do some miralax tonight.
Do you have anything you can give him before tonight? I'm thinking a healthy sized strip of hairball gel, vaseline, coconut oil, olive oil, butter. Something to help move things along...

Thanks Gill. This had me scratching my head. He is fine in every sense of the word today. I even started to think I did a fur shot but I always smell the site and feel to see if it's wet. Still can't smell but h

He did poop an appreciable amount. But, maybe there's more. I have coconut oil and will give him a tsp now. Good idea Jill!

It's supposed to be good for them. I might give him some routinely. ;)
Coconut oil is rich. Depending on how "fluffy" Bubba is compared to what he should be, you might want to limit the number of times a week you feed it. My vet said 3 times a week for my civie.

I found the coconut oil in the "organic" section of the grocery store, or most health food stores sell it too. Ideally you want organic virgin coconut oil.

Hope Bubba comes down for you tomorrow. Trouble loves the coconut oil too- but he is looking a little round these days so we don't give it to him that often.. and he doesn't seem to be getting the hairballs he was a few months ago (that is when we started:))
