We opted to give her 1u (0.25 above her usual dose) for her PM shot yesterday.

Hi Wendy… yes it was +2 and +3 we’ve just done another at 4.5 hrs and she’s hit 50… just feeding her .. and watching her of course… any other suggestions.. ??? Eek!

Edit - another test at +5 brought her to 72!! Phew!

Get a test in 1/2 hour. They often don't visible show that they are low. If she goes below 50, she's earned a reduction back to 0.75 units.

After hitting that 50 number we have had two subsequent tests an hr apart at 70 & 72… would you carry on testing hourly?

Looks like she is heading up and you can take a break from hourly tests. How about a test around +9?

I would try and see if you can use food to manipulate the curve (like Wendy suggested yesterday). Use food (structured feeding) to prevent sharp drops which in turn trigger bounces.

I’ve started reading the thread on using food to help. I can’t say as I really understand it but I’ll read it again later when I’m not so shattered. It seems a bit daunting. Some saying it’s not really for “new” FD careers…
Arya tends to eat a bit of fancy feast after every test or every few hrs if not testing. We then don’t feed her prior to the PMPS for a few hrs (or AMPS as she’s just woken up) then feed prior to the shot.
