1st curve on Lantus

I finally did Snickers' first Lantus curve. She looks like she could use an increase in insulin. Sadly I need this pen to last as long as humanly possible because hubby's job just bit the dust and we don't know how we are going to afford anything atm....sigh. I also know I should be testing her more than I do but again with the funds, they just aren't there right now.

Yes, an increase is called for. I would go for 1 1/4 units

I agree - as Snickers' dose is under 5u, increases should be done in 0.25u increments. If you can't afford to test often, then please make sure you're monitoring her secondary signs...those can give you important clues on how she's feeling!
