Situation is under control :p:D
But I'm in doubt about the next step. I reduced her last night, because I've had some nights where I didn't wake up from my 7(!!!) alarms ringing every 5 minutes, so really only for safety reasons.

Considering this is cycle two on the new dose, and she takes about 10 cycles to settle... does today's event mean another reduction, or is it simply an overfilled depot I have to wait out?
Or maybe just do a skip to drain the depot?

I think she's doing great, even the following cycles after a skip..
I've checked I did in fact give her the right dose, and didn't mess up the caliper

Anyway I'd like to hear some thoughts :bighug::bighug:

And a big shout out to the old peeps, I miss you! :bighug:

Hi. It’s been a long time since you posted about Mauer. Nice to see a condo and VERY glad you posted. Any time you see a bg under 40, I t’s an automatic reduction. Looks like you didn’t recheck right away to make sure it wasn’t a bad strip but for safety I would reduce. :bighug: I apologize if you did retest immediately. :bighug:

Hi Elise!:bighug:

I did retest right away. Running like crazy :nailbiting: still way way too low.
Then I'll reduce again again, no problem :cool:
Even if she wasn't screaming for a reduction, I'd probably give her one. I simply just can't wake up. Woke up yesterday with my phone on the floor.. no clue as to how it ended up there.

Hope you're doing great :bighug:

It is still the previous depot and she came up pretty quickly. See what she's like at PMPS.
If you reduce again, don't hold the reduction very long if the numbers aren't where you want them to be. Take her back up to 3.75U.

Right now I could do with a planned night of yellow! :D

Hi Sasha. It's good to see a post from you. I'm glad Mauer came back up for you. I'd take the reduction for safety's sake, especially if you're having trouble waking up. I hope you are both doing well.

Hi Carla!:bighug:
Was hoping to see you here! :bighug:
I will definitely take the reduction. I can always go back up :D:D

I'm not saying I regret shooting, and not just skipping to drain the depot a bit.. but maybe?:oops:

I've found that giving HC and glucose works way better in combination with LC dry food. I'm guessing it's because the dry is slowing things down? In human hypos high carb is always followed by a slow carb with fibers, and it works like a charm on Mauer! :D

Now it's time for some sleep. I'll do a +6 in two hours from now. Think of me, so I'll roll out of bed wide awake! I'm leaving the lights on, and all my usual tricks... hopefully it works! Fingers crossed :nailbiting:

THERE YOU ARE, SASHA! Don’t stay away so long. How are you. How are the twins? How are all of your furry family? :bighug:
I'm so sorry! I've been having technical issues.. I wasn't able to write a comment without something hitting the space button all the time :banghead:
I'm great, I think! Lost 20 kilos, summer is here, Mauer is still surprising me now and then :woot:
The twins are almost 2 years old! I can't believe it.. they're talking, running, laughing so hard, it's so amazing :bighug:
How are you doing dear Suzanne?:bighug::bighug:

It sounds like you are doing great. I'm happy to hear it! How in the world did you ever lose that much weight? What's your secret? I've been doing intermittent fasting, and that's about the only thing that works well for me. You probably feel a lot better. Now you can chase around after Mauer! Did you quit smoking? I think you had cut back, right?

Those twins are really going to keep everyone on their toes! I bet they're cute. Did they go on their trip? Weren't they going on a trip to America?

I'm doing well. Cats and kids are keeping me busy. Doing lots of gardening this time of year, too, and growing fruits and veggies and flowers.

This is very interesting. It seems to make sense, too. That 27 on her spreadsheet is frightening. I see she's back in yellow today. Honestly, it will be surprising if she doesn't bounce to the moon. So if she only goes yellow that will be good. Maybe she will settle in to this new dose. I know back to back reductions don't always work, but you did the right thing for the time being. And seven alarms!!! You must be a sound sleeper :-)

I'm only counting calories, I'm still eating chocolate, ice cream and all that :p
Fasting is awesome! I did that before without knowing it, never been a morning person :woot:

Their parents used to travel to US a lot before the twins, however I don't think they're ready to travel with them yet  long flights with two screaming kids... noooo

Kids and cats, same same right?! :D
I'm doing some gardening too. Not as much as I was planning to do. The rabbit Theo wasn't a part of the plan. My parsley is very well trimmed around the pot
I accidentally left my peas out last night, but they seem fine. I'm thinking of trying out kale this year.
With the Ukraine situation I think next year will be crazy expensive, so I'm trying to think ahead

She won't bounce more, I think. She's already on her way down. Generally when I've skipped she's been back on track right away.

Yeah, it makes sense right? Slower carbs keeps the BG up, which is bad...most of the time. It also seems as if I can avoid a low, giving low carb dry, making her surf smoothly. No rules without the exceptions! :D

Theo! Mmmmm. Fresh parsley. It's healthy for Theo! I grow parsley in a pot as well. It seems to do better on my front porch in a pot than out in the blazing sun. I have a parsley plant that I've had for several years now and it's going strong. When it gets cold, I move it into the garage, so it's never died. A lot of my herbs do better in pots. Right now I have the parsley, Greek Oregano and Basil (which does okay in the ground too.) Oh, and of course mint... which I definitely grow in a pot because if I put it in the garden it would take over the whole thing (I once made that mistake years ago and was fighting mint for a long time).

My basil is dying on me, it's still inside because of the weather..
Lol, I was thinking about mint just yesterday! Not that I use it for anything, but I dry a lot of weeds, herbs, grasses for Theo during the winter, it's free food!
My garden is very very small, I had big plans about bushes, trees, flowers.. until last year where I cut my grass three times during the year because Theo kept the lawn trimmed. .
You needed a rabbit for your mint accident!!! :D:p:smuggrin:

Hmmm.... thinking about a rabbit! When I was in college my apartment roommate had a rabbit named Bailey. I was worried about my cat, Rigel, getting along with Baily, but they became the best of friends. It was fun to watch them run around the house together and sleep together.

I just used my mint last night in a Greek sauce, kind of like a Tzatziki sauce (made with greek yogurt, feta cheese, some mint ... I also added in some dill and a little olive oil... oh, and of course a clove of garlic put through a press. Then we ate it with Lamb Burgers on a bed of Arugula with some cucumbers and sweet cherry tomatoes (oh, I am growing tomatoes and eggplant as well... in those really big pots with a water reservoir)... I usually leave the big "back garden" to my husband, although I do grow sweet potatoes back there (they go all over the place and are very easy to grow and will thrive in our summer heat) and he is growing regular potatoes (German Butterball). Now, I'm getting hungry...

Now I'm getting hungry too! Fresh potatoes baked in the oven and with butter and salt. Yum!

It's +7, and I just found Mauers syringe WITH insulin, on my couch table. :banghead:
Nothing makes sense anymore.

FS is now also forgotten shot...
I'm embarrassed.....
