Hi All,
I just checked Oz before his shot & he's at 182.
He had a 95 at +4 yesterday but then a 354 at pre shot last night.
He's currently on a dose of 1.75u, don't know whether to give same dose, or lower it & by how much.
According to the sticky I either lower the dose or feed as usual then test again, not sure what to do & it's shot time.

So sorry just jumping on this morning. I'm assuming you shot by now, right? What did you shoot or did you skip?

Hi Mel,
I waited for 30 minutes & re tested, he was at 207 then, so I gave the usual 1.75u dose.
I posted here & in the Tight Regulation forum, I had some responses there so that was good.
I'll be testing him each hour for awhile today.
Thank you for responding too.

No problem that is what I'm here for, just was up way too late last night..Normally I'm on or at least monitoring from my phone by about 7 a.m. not this morning I'm running about 3 hours behind myself. I was kitty sitting for a friend's FD kitty and she decided to pull a 41 at +5 while was already midnight my time.

You did exactly the right thing, wait without feeding and retest, if rising and above 200 shoot, especially if it's in the a.m. cycle and you can stay with him to monitor. If you haven't already read this I would suggest that you do and maybe even print it out and stick it somewhere handy. Handling lower than normal preshot numbers

I know that tired feeling, I'm not a morning person, but now having to pick up his food two hours before testing & a shot
plus testing him every hour is kinda rough, but i'll make it. Wondering how someone can still do normal things if you have to constantly monitor them.
Thank you for the link, I've been reading as much of those as I can.

After you've been at it awhile you just don't test as much. When I first adopted mine I tested a lot but once I started seeing their individual patterns I got to where I knew if they were going to go low when it was most likely to happen. Now I test maybe 4 times a day and know the world isn't going to end if I miss a test here or there.

Assuming he eats the food as soon as it's made available, a timed feeder might help you get some extra zzzzz's. Be lost without mine.

I am in the same position as you. I still a little overwhelmed as to how to fit all of this into my routine. At the moment I just feel sleep deprived and fed up. It is one step forward and two backwards. I know that sounds selfish
