I have to be at work all day tomorrow. Girlie has been doing beautifully the past few days on the 0.50 dose, but I get this anxious ball in the pit of my stomach at leaving her for 9 hours straight. :nailbiting: Should I
  • do a BCS tonight and tomorrow morning
  • just trust that she's doing fine and do a normal shot and leave out LLC food
  • do a normal shot and leave out LC9 food and some MC12 food

or....?

It probably seems incredibly silly that I'm so worried given the last few cycles, especially, although she's going green now. I don't want to mess her up. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Also: moved shot up 15 min to 6:45 am this morning; may be why she's seeing greens today?

I not sure, such nice cycles the last few days. I am a big chicken too, I was lucky that all the action for Marvin was when I was off. The last time you did a BCD she shot up, I am guess it will depend how she does tonight. She may bounce....

True, true - but she's going to greens today it seems, and I wouldn't be surprised if she drops close to shark territory: she's showing those signs behaviourally. We'll see!

Which is the lesser of two evils: BCS or MC/HC food?

Yet another option, let's see how today plays out first.:D

That's true! But when I gave a BCS the other day, you'd mentioned that you would do a BCS before the actual day when you wanted to be sure Neko would be safe, so I thought I'd ask in case I should do a BCS tonight and tomorrow morning... :)

Then again, maybe Girlie will dive bomb today, eh? Stranger things have happened...

Just a FYI: put in first post, but moved shot up 15 min to 6:45 am this morning as need to start shooting earlier.

Just went into blues at AM+8: what a lovely day!

Now I just have to decide what I'll do tomorrow when I'm away all day... I hate to ruin these lovely few days we've just had by doing a BCS, but the only alternative is to leave out MC/HC that will last for 9 hours in case she decides to dive into shark territory...

I might be able to dash back at +6:30, but it will be literally run in, test BG, run back to work. Hmmm....what to do?

I feel ya! I worry when I have to be away all day from Taffy. I also hate to interrupt a good streak, but if his numbers are low at preshot, I usually leave out his regular LC raw with a spoon of gravy food on top. Or I often use the timed feeder. I would run home and test if I could, just for peace of mind, but I'm usually too far away. You need to do whatever you feel will keep him safe and you from going crazy with worry. You know him best!

Where is a bounce when you need one? ;)

I was fortunate to have been working from home when we were in the thick of it. My home office however was in a cottage behind our main house. I spent many nights sleeping between tests on a cot in that office, which took a toll on me. Someone suggested a timed feeder. For us, it was lifesaver. I was able to once again sleep in my be in the main house, knowing that food would be offered In his case mini meals at +4 and +8 and a piece of kitty crack at +10 to ensure any leftover food from the earlier offerings became unavailable after +10 so as not to influence PS.
