Felix was a little upset during the testing, not sure if this will up his BG numbers. I was only giving .1 but based on his number this morning, should I give more??

Also, is it okay to feed him breakfast after dosage? Or should I wait and test him after the dosage? I will wait until I hear from someone on the dosage amount.

I'm getting a little nervous that I haven't received a response. His normal shoot time is 9:30 and it is now 9:47, which poses another question. By the time I get a response and shoot, does this mean that his shoot time will have to be changed?

Lantus dosing is not based on pre-shot numbers. It's based on the nadir. You skipped a shot last night. It stands to reason that your AM numbers will be higher as a result of the skipped shot. You will need to monitor this morning since you have doubled Felix's dose this cycle. You have got to make sure he's safe.

Ordinarily, with a skipped shot or a fur shot you shoot your usual dose at your next shot time. Please remember that you can cross post on the Lantus board. It's usually fairly busy. And yes, you still feed after you shoot.

You may want to review the starred, sticky notes at the top of the Lantus board.
