Helloooooooooooo Lantus Land! Imperial greenity has been regained! :mrgreen:

Thank you, first of all, to Ella, Amy, Chris, Ann, Denise, Camille, Roni, Leslie, Rhiannon, Devon and Pat, for your visits and supportive posts yesterday! I didn't get back into the condo last night - our friend is still visiting and we sat outside under the stars, wrapped in blankets, until 2:30am. Silly me, to stay up that long during the week with work to do the next day! But sometimes, nights like that just come along and will not be denied. And what makes up for the lost hours of sleep: How glad am I about that AMBG this morning? (And how *ever so slightly* annoyed at last night's PMBG - Come on, Your Majesty, you're spoiling the fun a little there!) Karre's 12th OTJ Day was the third one in a row that began and ended in the blues.Granted, they were sub-120 blues, but blues nevertheless.

Here's the recap:
13th August
AMBG 5.9/106 --- As per OTJ-protocol, fed and re-tested 3 to 4 hours later due to blue AMBG.
(+3) 5.4/97 --- No food given. Will wait to see if he comes to eat within an hour; if not, will feed at (+4).
(+4) No test. Fed 0.5 can FF (1.5oz / ca. 40g). Next feeding at (+8).
(+8) No test. Fed 0.5 can FF.
PMBG 6.4/115 --- Meh. But at least still sub-120. Fed 0.5 can FF.
14th August
AMBG 5.2/96 --- :-D :cool: :mrgreen: Fed 0.5 can FF.


Since he has been a little bluer than we'd been hoping lately, we figure, all the more reason to rejoice mightily at the return of Karre's Royal Greenage to his SS. I hope he finishes off his trial in his favourite colour tomorrow! But today....

I know what it's like staying up until the wee hours with my friends, sitting outside by the fire pit. That's what we did at the reunion each night and it was well worth the lost sleep :-D

And thank you so much, ladies - Denise, Carla, Dyana, Deborah, Liz, Ann, Pat, Rhiannon, Michelle, Devon, Leslie - for your ongoing support and your caring, kind words and posts! It means so much! We'll be back for PMBG. WCR is great - Karre was napping pretty much all day - only at (+8) he came in to eat, and had about 0.25 can, which we then followed up by encouraging him to have a second helping of that size. Afterwards, he curled right back up, under his red blanket. :-D

Pinkerton headed out of here a couple of hours ago with his suitcase. It's a long trip :lol: I called out to him as he was leaving to please not bite the other guests! He muttered something, so I am sure he will be on his best behaviour tomorrow. If you have a couple of small reptiles you can toss his way, it may help distract him!

I expect that Bear Man, at his customary spot by the bird house, has heard about the impending festivities, and is excited about looking in on the party. There will probably be a big gathering of Oldtimers and GA's at this event. Perhaps someone will even bring a platter of Oldtimer Wet Noodles for the buffet ;-)

I know that this has not been easy on you, but I hope that the party tomorrow helps reassure you a bit that Karre is back on the road to good health. He may be a senior citizen, but he is not ready to surrender his throne yet! His subjects await a royal celebration befitting an Emperor tomorrow!

I hear the tuxedo's have arrived along with couture gowns for all the Beans.

Tim Gunn (Project Runway here in the States) is pressing the designers to Make It Work and get those hanging threads cut and wrinkles ironed out.
