My poor husband. I'm all Tyler, diet, tests at every spare moment.

So .Tyler is bouncing it seems.
I was relieved to see that Ty did a poop overnight in one of the tray. Honestly, it comes to something when you are pleased to see a cat poop.
He is more lively today and has been for one of his usual walks this morning. Mind you it is a cooler day.
He has also lost a little bit of weight . Down to 5kg from 5.3kg. Likely because I'm dropping those carbs I suppose . 5kg or over is OK. Less is not.

Notes to me: At the moment look to control the diet. Transition away from that wet renal as much as poss as it contains too many carbs . His mind and body will react to any small changes so take it slowly. One can replace the balanced nutrition in the wet renal with other canned foods + a home made diet .I need to understand calorie control re. Ty's weight.

I think most of us celebrate a good poo. I know I'm very poo-obsessed as Girlie has alternated between constipation and poo puddles. Sigh. So I am always THRILLED to see a good poo and do my happy poo dance to celebrate.

I agree with you, though: I have to laugh at myself and where I'm sitting right now in my life with this beloved cat of mine. Not many people outside those in this forum would understand... :p

Wow, your numbers are looking really nice - all of those blues and you've just started on insulin. Am I reading that right - is Tyler 19 1/2 years old? Wowsa!!!!

Yup. My boy is 19 1/2. Born 14th July 1998.
He's been on this 2 units of Lanctus since the beginning of September. I was doing that & feeding him his renal dry food with a bit of renal wet twice a day strictly and routinely until he developed the wobbly gait and insatiable appetite. Querying with the vet just gave me arthritis meds which made no difference.
It was googling that brought me here & I realised that maybe I could do far better for Tyler, vet or no vet. Makes me think that we could have avoided this perhaps with the right diet.

I see Girlie is a Burmese . They are really lovely pusscats. She is of a good age too.
