Last night pmps 399 .8U
Amps 309 Since there was a 90 point drop, I think I am supposed to drop the dose, yet I find myself reluctant. She was on LC yesterday, last night and this am. She is grazing. So I guess it is either .6 or stick with .8. Or compromise on .7. I am wanting to shoot .8.

Thanks. Shot .7U. Also gave her the other 1/2 of the fluids we were unable to do last night. This went better, although this time, for the first time, she reacted to my inserting the needle---I think she has so little fat left under her skin, she must feel it more. Anyway, she complained some, (but no screaming like at the vet's) but we were able to complete it. I think maybe there were some kinks in the tubing yesterday. I hope that was it--and I smoothed them out, so with any luck it won't happen again.

Judy,
I'm sorry I don't follow you closely, but I just wanted to add 2cents, just in case. One thing I noticed bothers Cody about fluids is if they aren't warmed up. I tried the heating pad, but got impatient waiting, so now I put the bag in hot water for a couple minutes, (upside down to avoid getting the connections wet.)

It looks like things are going better for you guys.

Thanks, Nancy. I have been starting an hour ahead to use the heating pad;but I will keep it in mind that I can use the water if I am in a hurry. Since the whole thing makes me very nervous, I am concerned about getting things wet. I think I will go to Radio Shack today to get an infared thermometer so I can be sure of the temp.
