Good morning,

My little kitty alarm clock woke me up this morning because I forgot to set my phone alarm last night. Actually, it fooled me because it is set for weekdays, but I thought I had reset for the weekends, too. She was quite talkative and bossy, good appy, now preening...going btb. We'll be back later to update. Hope everyone is still sleeping and dreaming! Blessings to all the kitties and their beans!

Morning Deborah ~O) ~O) ~O)

Hooray for those kitty alarm clocks. my civvie is my backup - a relief! as Mannie could care less. it seems he feels that I will get to it eventually, so he waits without a peep fro him.  I like Shasta's method better, at least then you now you're up when yo need to be. I hope you enjoyed that BTB,

A nice start for Shasta. :-D It ought to be a good day for her.

have great one today.

Re: 12/9 Shasta AMPS=236

Morning Deborah, sounds like Shasta is being a cat with the bossy! I have two alarms set just in case! Have a great day and hope you get in some rest and fun today.

Re: 12/9 Shasta AMPS=236

Is Shasta better today than she has been? I haven't needed my alarm for a few weeks now, ever since I got the digital thermostat wired up. Now the heat comes on at +11.25 and then Zener comes in to demand food and I am definitely awake.

Hi Michelle & Scrabble - we had a nice, errand-filled, craft-filled, weekly-meals-making, AC-no-working kind of Sunday! That last item doesn't seem like such a big deal until people remember that it's 80's and humid in Central FL right now! ugh! Hope you and Scrabble had a nice, lazy day.

Hi Michelle & Mannie - Shasta's not consistent with waking me up, but dangit, she's been very handy, dandy lately! We definitely enjoyed our BTB time... only wish we could do it every day!!!! :YMSIGH: Oh well. Hope you and Mannie had a great day with some BLUES in his color scheme!

Hi Ann - I usually have 2 alarms during the week and only one during the weekend. However, last week, my little travel alarm died on me and so now I'm trying to get used to using my cell phone...but now I just have to get used to setting it every night and making sure it's set!!!! (<- my OCD will kick in any time now.) Hope Maggie was well behaved today with pretty numbers and some poo!!!!

Hi Liz - Shasta's been ok today. I need to make her an appointment to see the vet. She's acting ok(ish), but I still think there's something up with her. She's been scratching lately as if she has fleas (not unheard of around central FL...never have a real winter to kill off the eggs.) Personally, I don't think her gums look pinkish enough and now I'm wondering about anemia?! However, I almost worry more about the vet people trying to sedate her to draw blood, etc. with her heart problems. SUCKS GETTING OLD! Ok, as for the heat coming on...sorry I can't sympathize...it's in the upper 70's/80's and humid. Oh, and my AC is not working properly...freon issues. Gotta lots December in FL! Hope Zener had a good day with pretty numbers and lots of Zener play!

Can you spare a little of that cold weather...just a little...like 15-25 degrees? PLEASE?!?!?!

Re: 12/9 Shasta PMPS=246 +1.5=191 +3=104 +4.1=78

We'll trade 15 degrees for some precipitation. I'd prefer snow so I can ski. :-D

Shasta looking pretty with that green curve! Surf Shasta!
We are all crazy cat ladies here on LL! We are too sensitive to small changes with our cats that sometimes it helps but sometimes it complicates. I hate taking my cats tot he vet although the clinic is just a block away. I think there are more virus & germs at the vet office with so many sick animals going in & out. Not to mention about the stress & the sedation. Shasta need to be sedated everytime she need a blood work? Where did the vet draw the blood from? My vet usually draw blood from their front hand or the inside of their rear leg. Some do it from the neck. More scritches & less worry Deborah.
Sending get better vines to Shasta!

Liz - we're supposed to get some rain this week along with a cold front (more like a cool front). Sending thoughts of precipitation your way!!!!

Helen - the last time the vet (my old vet) drew blood, they did not need to sedate...but that was only because Shasta was in such bad shape from 4 days with no insulin. She was so lethargic that they were able to get it from her front leg and they didn't lose any limbs in the process. Shasta has a tendency to be pretty evil to...well...everyone except me! When she was first diagnosed, they put her under anesthesia to do blood work and get x-rays. However, because of her heart problems, the vet (old, old vet) was very cautious about dosing, etc. I just worry myself with all the "what ifs", but I just want her to live a happy, healthy life...FOR FOREVER!!!!! (<-wishful thinking, I know). I like my new vet (of course, Shasta does not like him!), but I don't know how he will handle/deal with my devil kitty and blood work. Guess I'll find out soon enough. Hope you guys have a great day.

Good night! Sleep well!
