I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a good Sunday yesterday. I spent mine at home, with a few local hikes to add some outdoor time to a weekend full of chores and errands and general relaxation recovery time from a very busy week with the boys. Sunday was an outdoor day for me, at least in the late afternoon. We are still very cold, well, cold for us. We topped out at 31 yesterday, better than than the day before when it was 27, down to 22 at night. It ended up being a sunny day, and was actually rather nice out there, despite the temps. I did head on out, layered up as much as I could and still move  and headed on down to the Meadowdale shore, once it got out of the teens. It was impressive there yesterday. Part of the creek has iced over, sides to center, and bet it will be even better come tomorrow. Lots a great ice formations there, most were really pretty. The tides have been low too, so I have been able to walk some distance. It seems odd to hear the sand crunch when you walk on it. LOL: Frozen Sand! Anyways, sure was pretty down there, with an awesome sunset to boot too. I was home before then though. Maybe tomorrow I will stay and bring the sun down.

What to say about the kitties.... They have been good kitties, and even Lola! The tree went up on Saturday - that was an adventure! Yesterday morning she made maybe 5 trips up, dislodged a few branches, sniffed alot, chewed some, and then took off for a nap. I put the lights on mid-morning, and surprisingly enough she left those alone! She did however make two more trips up the tree while I put the lights on, checking out my handiwork.  She has made a few trips back to it, but has been content to sit and sleep on the chair that is next to the tree. WOW! Not one trip up it since the lights went on.
I haven't added any ornaments yet, as I'm really not too sure that is such a good idea. well, we shall see. At least as of this writing THE TREE IS STILL STANDING!!!!
When I went to bed last night she was curled up under the tree, sound asleep. I guess she has claimed it as her own. Elsa and Bug have paid it no heed. I knew Elsa wouldn't, but was really curious about Bug. He too has ignored the whole thing. Maybe that is a good thing. I put out the Tree skirt a yesterday afternoon too. That was so Mannie's thing, he loved that tree skirt. It seemed so odd not to have him sleeping there the minute I laid it out. So, here's to you big guy, as we embark on another holiday season. I hope you have found that perfect tree skirt up there at the Bridge.
Have a great day everyone! I'm not too sure what will be here today. One of those days when I shall see what comes to be. I still have Christmas Shopping to finish, at least the stuff that has to be ordered. I hope to be able to take a trek to the shore later in the day.
