Re: 12/8 Duncan AMPS 340,
A lot of the feeding may depend on what time you go to sleep and where that is in relation to Duncan's shot schedule. If the food is out after Duncan's nadir, that may be a factor for you to think about. Feeding after nadir means that there's less insulin available to offset the effect of the food. Is it feasible to not leave food out overnight? Could you gradually reduce the amount that's left out and work toward eliminating it?
I feed several meals early in the cycle. I do that because Gabby likes to dive early and has an early nadir. However, the same principle of dividing up your cats' total food (based on calories) for the day and feeding when you're around and awake may work. My civvie, Gizmo, seems to have an alarm clock in his stomach and comes to get me and let me know it's food time. They don't get fed after +4 (well, sometimes they get a snack). It's just a thought for you to consider.
